  Located in quiet neighborhood. Nothing fancy but clean and friendly. Very large grassy area in front, lighted. Food and gas nearby.

  Great value

  For the price, our experience was excellent. The room was clean and spacious, our dog (who was staying in a motel for the first time) was comfortable and calm, and the huge green space (with waste bags provided) was a big plus. It’s a basic motel, and the value for money is high. We all slept well and would do this again. There are nearby options for meals: we did Wendy’s takeout for dinner and Panera takeout for breakfast. (The motel does provide grab-and-go breakfast.) A strong option all around. Update: We stayed here again four months later (Dec. 15); another great stay.

  Good overnight

  Clean room and good for an overnight stay. We would stay again. Only reason not 5 bones, breakfast was ok but minimum. Still a good price for a night.

  Employees were great! Good grassy area for dogs. Only downside was noise from other rooms; walls seem to be very thin.

  Don’t let the price scare you away!!! This Red Roof Inn did not disappoint! Sweet and friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean with vinyl plank floors. There were no dog smells! Felt safe, because it sits behind the police station! There is a LARGE green space for walking dogs! Take it from this fussy dog mama, this is a good choice for the price and NO extra dog fee was certainly a bonus! We will definitely stay here again.

  This Red Roof is remarkably reasonably priced, and imposes no pet fee. The room was minimally furnished but clean and functional. Breakfast was also pretty basic, but filled the bill. Elevator serves all floors, and guests and dogs can enter and exit vial all outside doors.

  Simple but nice

  Good customer service, bigger rooms, nice grassy spot for dogs to use. My only complaints were the breakfast was very lackluster and the elevator was a little sketchy.

  Very dog friendly

  I was in town for a dog competition with my two GSD’s. I did not get any attitude from front desk about having German Shepherds. The pet rooms were on the bottom floor near the side exit doors. There was a huge closely mowed field out front with a potty bag dispenser in the field. The rooms were clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  Nice clean room

  The room was nice and clean. The hotel itself is a bit dated but still clean. Most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast is included but it is limited to prepackaged food. We would stay again.

  Good experience

  Clean, spacious room, friendly staff. Would be 5 bones but parking lot lights were out. We arrived after dark & honestly as two women we were uncomfortable walking the dog.

  Lots of green space, clean room

  The room was spacious and clean, staff was very friendly and the area around the hotel to let our dog sniff and go potty was spacious and not littered with trash or other dog droppings like we’ve seen at many other dog friendly hotels before. The location was good for us, allowing us to get through Lexington and Cincinnati in the early morning before traffic got heavy. There is only a Cracker Barrel in the very near vicinity but tons of restaurants on the other side of Richmond just a few miles away. Only complaint was the ‘grab and go’ breakfast was either pop tarts, granola bars, or prepackaged muffins…would have liked a piece of fruit or yogurt. Also coffee wasn’t ready at 6 when us early birds were heading out the door.

  Affordable and Comfortable

  We had a comfortable and clean bed. The room was a bit beat up in places and the fridge didn't keep our food cold. They do allow 2 dogs which was nice and the king room was big enough for two large dog crates.

  Great hotel and location

  This hotel was very clean and had comfy beds. Staff was very efficient and friendly with check in too! Would stay here again if we’re in the area!! Had to change the date for our prepaid stay and the woman that answered at BringFido was very pleasant and made the change quickly, no hassles at all. Great experience with BringFido!

  All’s well that ends well

  The room was clean, convenient and inexpensive. The location was good for our drive through from NC - north. We had stayed here a week before on our way south, with a great review. This time they grouped all the guest together and had a lot of door slamming and I was worried about the night. But, by the time we went to bed it seemed to stop and we didn’t hear anymore throughout the night. Would I stay there again? …ummm, Yes! Would I recommend to other responsible pet owners? …ummm, Yes!

  Friendly staff, Trevor is awesome. Me and my dog were welcome. The room was clean and comfy. Relaxing and friendly. There is a pool if u want one. Felt safe and comfortable. Will stay again.

  We will be back!

  We have stayed here over the years when visiting EKU and the Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. There are lots of places for our dog to walk around and do his business. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. We will be returning.

  I had a good experience

  I’ve noticed other reviews talking poorly of their experiences but mine was pretty good. Room was clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, my pupper enjoyed it. Price was great in comparison to the rest in the area (at the time I stayed, June 2021) and I am definitely glad I chose this option.

  As far as bringing my dog goes, I was required to sign a waiver about not leaving my dog in the room without a crate, and that I would be responsible for damages which was fine as I took my pup everywhere and he’s not particularly destructive. There was a big open field with a waste disposal can outside the main entrance which was cool. Overall, the experience was great and I would be completely comfortable booking this hotel again.

  We’ve now stayed at this hotel twice - once in June and again in July. We were only here long enough to sleep before continuing our travels. 4 stars because the rooms are a little worn, but we appreciated that they were clean, quiet and safe plus have LVP floors.

  Don’t hesitate

  The staff there was friendly. The floors were laminated for the doggos. They had a huge area for pet relief and I felt safe every time I had to take my 14 yr old out in the middle of the night. It was a wonderful stay.

  Very convenient

  Very affordable stop close to the interstate. A lot of green space for dogs to do their business. Wasn’t able to get a room on the first floor, but was given a room close to the stairs on the 2nd floor. Room was clean & staff was very friendly. Would not hesitate to stay there again when traveling with my dog!

  I booked through bringfido.com looking for a pet friendly place.
  The nicest and cleanest red roof we've ever been. Because of Covid the pool is close and no breakfast. Which would have been great to know ahead of time.
  But the rate and cleanliness of this place worth a one night stay. I spent $100

  Great for dogs, not great for me

  I was wanting to soak in the Jacuzzi tub, but we arrived later than planned and it really didn't look clean. So, the dogs loved the elevator. Lots of noisefrom the highway.
