This place was great. The room was convenient, cozy, and I loved the character. Location was walkable to everything we wanted to see. And the folks at the complimentary breakfast started our day nicely with their friendly manner.

Great hotel, but no area for pets to potty. Busy street with a lot of street noise. The staff and hotel are great, though. Two blocks from all of the Salem shops and restaurants.

The Salem Inn was a very welcoming place for our sweet girl. Upon arrival she was given a dog bed, bowl and treat, which was greatly appreciated. We felt very comfortable in the hotel and loved the breakfast provided every morning. Our only complaint was that we were moved from a family suite two weeks before our trip to two separate rooms. Both days of our trip we were woken up by construction between our two rooms at 7:15am. Not exactly the relaxing family vacation we planned for. This construction continued all day and stressed out our dog, but being that everything else was perfect we never complained. Great trip if you manage to keep the room you book and you aren't woken up by construction each morning.

There was a doggy bed, bowl and treats waiting for Lucy when we arrived! The contactless check in and text updates were super helpful as well. Salem is dog friendly during the day, but night time the patios close and then it’s time for take out!

Located within 3 blocks of downtown and all the great restaurants and tours. Beautiful, large rooms and very welcoming to our dogs. Ate outside on a little patio. Breakfast was ordered the night before and fast service-coffee was delicious! We will return on our next visit to Salem.

My family of 4 plus our husky stayed here for 2 nights to explore the city. The location was perfect, very close to shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and they provided one dog bowl, a small bed, and a couple large dog biscuits for our furry pal. The shower is fantastic, easily one of the best hotel showers I've ever used. Having use of the kitchen/fridge was perfect, as we were travelling between multiple cities for a couple weeks and had some food to store. The included breakfast was definitely a plus, so we didn't need to find restaurants or do any cooking. However, there are only 3 (2-person) dog-friendly tables available, and they are around the side of the building and aren't guaranteed (plus, you aren't allowed to take the food back to your room) We lucked out on both mornings and didn't have anyone else there (because we needed 2 tables for all of us), but if you go during a busier time, it might be an issue. Overall, definitely recommended.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Salem Inn with our dog and definitely our favorite. We had a beautiful spacious room with a fireplace on the first floor. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful dog bed, bowl and bag of treats waiting for us when we got there. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay with your pup.

This hotel was beautiful. Upon arrival, we found a dog bed with a bone for our dog, which was nice. My room had a whirl pool bath tub which was amazing and very enjoyable. The breakfast however, despite being complimentary, was a disappointment for me. There were very minimal options, and then bagels were inedible in my opinion. But apart from the breakfast, this hotel was wonderful
