We were put on the 3rd floor and the elevator was very slow, so it was somewhat difficult to take him out.

It’s a La Quinta. I knew what I was getting into when I made the reservation. However, what I wasn’t prepared for was the toilet that ran constantly, no hand soap, or a limited amount of toilet paper. What made all of this even more infuriating was that I had reserved a room with a king sized bed and I got there they stated they no longer had any king sized bed rooms available. Why make the reservation if what you booked wasn’t what was reserved for you? I thought that was the meaning of “reservation” but what do I know, I’m not a linguist. Oh well, it worked in a bind and I didn’t wind up murdered, or worse with bedbugs!

Thought I'd pay a little bit extra to stay someplace nicer than a Motel 6 for the 4 nights we were in Baltimore. Hardcore regret it. Apparently the pet fees don't go towards cleaning the pet-friendly rooms. Our room was filthy and coated in fur, even the sheets and blankets. We mentioned the filthy rooms and they said they did not have any other rooms to give us. Then after repeatedly calling front desk because our AC kept not working and making a funny smell they finally put us in a room on the 2nd floor because their maintenance was unable to fix it. Because of all the issues they said they spoke to a manager who said they would waive the pet fee. Sounds good, that's a relief.
Then, my mom goes down to get some food from the snack bar. She gets something that says one price and the front desk said oh that's actually supposed to be $2 more. She refuses to honor the price tag and makes her pay more. Fast forward to finally being home. Check my bank statement, I have an extra $200 charge from La Quinta Inn. Call them and apparently they overcharged the pet fee (which they said they'd waived) by $40. Tell her about also having been told it was waived all together and she said only a manager could do that which we said we were told a manager said that was fine. She said it was not meant to mean the whole stay, just one night.
So in the end she refunded the $40 overcharge and $40 for one night of 2 pets being there. Poorly cleaned/maintained pet rooms, poor communication, and poor management all around at this location and apparently the pet fee does nothing towards helping keep the pet-friendly rooms cleaner. We stayed at an America's Best Value Inn on the way over for half the price and the staff was loads friendly, rooms were cleaner, and no pet fee. I'd look elsewhere for pet-friendly accommodations.

We were happy to discover a place where we could stay with our chocolate lab. It’s great that the pet rooms are not carpeted.

I’d really like to write a positive review, because the employees I interacted with were lovely. But there were issues. When I walked into the bathroom, the first thing I noticed was a big puddle on the floor. There was a leak and the ceiling was very deteriorated. Then I saw the streak in the toilet. It had not been cleaned properly, if at all. Considering the inconveniences imposed under Covid (no breakfast, having the front desk attendant behind a barrier, plexiglass shield, and mask - couldn’t understand a word she said), a lack of even basic “normal” cleaning is unacceptable. Also, as I was checking in another guest appeared who said that the room he was assigned had not been cleaned and there were towels on the floor.
I’ve noticed that, in general, the quality of lower end hotels has been really poor lately. I’m sure business is bad, but it’s disappointing.

The room and lobby were very clean. Front desk and other staff were very polite. Our room was part of a potential suite and as a result noise from the adjacent room was very noticeable. The room was on the road/front side of the building. This resulted in a great deal of road noise and noise from other guests who liked to gather outside in front of the building. Consequently, our pet was very restless throughout the night.

I found this place really hard to find in the dark. I didn’t know you had to drive through a bank parking lot to get to it. Check in was easy and the lady was nice. The room could have definitely been cleaner. There was some spots on the sheets that made me wonder if they truly were clean or just stained. The shower had a lot of soap scum on the walls. There was a little dog that barked all night as if it had been left alone in the room since it was still barking in the morning. The area was a little sketchy. It definitely wasn’t worth the money I paid for the room.

Room was clean on the basics but not under the surface. Had to move the bed and it was very dirty underneath much of the floor was dirty by proof of black paper towels after spot cleaning. The room was quiet and the hotel was conveniently located to I-95. The bathtub drain was clogged - water went down but the bottom of the tub partly filled. The toilet did not flush well and almost needed a plunger. Had a pet-friendly room we have a cat and ask that the room not smell from dog ( we have had that experience before with very smelly dog odor )fortunately it did not have a strong smell but I was told by the reception clerk that she did not know if the room smelled or not. On a personal preference not my wife finds it less hygienic not to have a sink in the bathroom. It means door knobs must be handlers before hand washing. It still got 3 bones but that was generous. I would avoid if you can.

The staff was friendly. They gave our little girl a bag of Milk Bone snacks. They pet area was great with benches and tables. Large area, not just a small area of grass. Rooms were laminate flooring, which is great! Clean and pet safe.

Clean, comfortable and convenient if stopping in Baltimore. We had a two br queen room. Good size, non-carpeted room with easy first floor access. Small dog area with bags provided. Nicely lit parking lot. Recommend.
