This motel allowed dogs with an additional charge of $30 but we were told at check in that if the dogs got on the bed there would be an additional $50 charge. The room was very small, the shower even smaller! There is a difference in dogs allowed and dog friendly and this place did not seem friendly.

We spent three nights here and it was wonderful. Friendly staff, great pet area, wonderful location, and very clean rooms. This is a family owned hotel, so not fancy, but the room was so comfortable and perfect for our stay while visiting Acadia.

Room was tiny & bathroom was the size of a phone booth, but they do allow dogs & have an area for dogs to walk & potty.

Only the smaller rooms were available for the night we needed, but it was the only motel available for large dogs. 2 adults and one big dog had a tight fit. The room was clean. Nice place for dog owners. Wish the bigger rooms were available. Close to restaurants. We'd stay again but in larger rooms.

Modest room good spaces to walk dog, no extra frills, close to our destination of Acadia Nat Park.

It was a nice spot in order to see the most of Acadia & Bar Harbor- it was about 20 minutes away from the farther trails like Ship Harbor & the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Good sized room for just me & my dog. They had a fire going every night that you were welcome to sit around & enjoy which I thought was a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again.

Yes, our room was very tidy and the people we encountered were friendly and respectful of the property and each other. Our room was tiny, so just be prepared. One small suggestion for the property owners. The box spring of our bed was not covered by anything. A simple fitted sheet over that could give the bed a cleaner look, perhaps? And, the dog walking space was excellent.
