  Excellent location

  This hotel is within 1-1.5 miles of downtown Bar Harbor. Some of the rooms have unobstructed views of the Harbor. There are two restaurants close to the hotel, neither allows dogs, but they do takeout. The room is spacious enough for a large crate and an Alaskan Malamute, 2 adults and all their gear. NO ELEVATOR. We stayed four nights. The dog exercise area is off to one end of the parking lot. You do need a headlamp or other personal lighting device with you. Its proximity to Acadia and downtown for the price is excellent. It isn't going to be featured in an interior design magazine, but it was clean and the staff was very pleasant. My bill was exactly what I expected, which is always nice. We would definitely stay again in the future.

  Ideal Location

  1st floor room right near exit large enough for two Newfoundlands in crates. Large grassy areas for taking care of business. Free guest laundry. Only minutes from endless great walks in Acadia National Park or great restaurants in Bar Harbor.

  Good hotel, busy location

  The hotel was good, very accepting of the four legged guests. Close to Acadia National Park entrance and a mile from downtown. Only negative is that it's on the main road into bar harbor. One patch of grass for the dogs, but loud in the parking lot.

  The area they had dedicated to dogs was very small, on a hill, and not well lit.

  Shuttle just across the street

  The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The free shuttle to downtown Bar Harbor (and the free shuttle to Acadia are both dog friendly) is just across the street from the hotel. They need to re-install the shower curtain so that the shower does not run onto the bathroom floor.

  Very dog friendly

  Small dog area on side, no bags provided. Very personable people at front desk. Continental breakfast provided. Located very close to busy highway. Very convenient to downtown and Acadia Park. Would definitely stay there again.

  Good location

  Directly opposite the Nova Scotia ferry terminal this large motel is a mile from the center of bar harbor town. It faces the bay, however not all rooms will have a water view. Ask for 2nd floor with a view if that matters to you. Room was spacious but is an older property and a bit run down. Clean enough for us! Typical motel breakfast is included. We enjoyed our stay as did our golden doodle. Staff was very friendly. Entrances to Acadia park are minutes away. We would stay again.

  The beds were comfortable but the carpeting and paint and other parts of the room could use replacement.

  Dog Friendly

  The motel worked well with our large dog. It was close enough for us to walk to the waterfront and enjoy Bar Harbor.

  Not a bad stay

  We stayed the night with our two dogs. The hotel was no frills, but a nice place to rest for the night. Across from the Nova Scotia Ferry terminal.

  Great stay!

  We had a great stay at the Days Inn Bar Harbor. Dog treats and poop bags at the front desk and wonderful, friendly people eager to help you make the most of your stay. We had a king size bed and it was incredibly comfortable! Great location too! Minutes away from downtown and Acadia National Park.

  Terrible

  The room was run down, vanity in bathroom broken, AC broken, bureau on room broken, rust and mildew in the shower. Do not recommend and it was noisy!

  On busy highway

  Room was fine, a bit musty but otherwise very clean and updated. The hotel sits very close to a very busy highway and has very little green space for dogs to sniff and make potty. Very convenient to downtown area, 1/2 mile walk.

  Great location and staff

  The location is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still within walking distance and the staff are very caring and responsive. Unfortunately, I broke my ankle within a day of arriving and they’ve been an amazing help.
