    Eagle's Lodge Motel

    Eagle's Lodge Motel welcomes two dogs of any size in designated rooms for an additional fee of $10 per night, or three dogs for an additional $30 per night. Guests with pets are assigned to rooms on the ground floor, which will have dog bones in them. Well-behaved dogs may be left in the room unattended. Bowls and waste bags are available upon request. The property is surrounded by fields, but per local law, pets must be leashed at all times outside the room. Sorry, cats are not permitted.     We are a 2 story motel staffed 24 hours a day with interior corridors comfortable and spacious rooms complimentary coffee tea hot chocolate cereal donuts and a morning newspaper to get your day going. All rooms have full cable TV telephone and air conditioning. Many of our rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. We are located in the heart of Down east Maine in Hancock County and a stone*s throw from many scenic attractions including Mount Desert Island Acadia National Park the Blue Hill Peninsula and Schoodic Point. There are a variety of stores and restaurants with in walking distance; Birds acre Sanctuary a wonderful place for a walk is across the street; the Acadia Zoo Bar Harbor Golf Course the Great Maine Lumberjack Show and the Ellsworth Tennis Center are near by. We pride ourselves on being your Home-away-from-Home so take off your shoes and kick back - we are here for all your Motel needs.

      Horrible

      Drive up & it is a flop house! Would not stay at this place & had to eat the cost but under no circumstances would we stay at such a sketchy place. Don’t go, stay somewhere else in Ellsworth.

      Old motel

      It’s not a bad place. No cable tv just streaming that wasn’t great. Gave a discount to local restaurants. We got food from Helen’s. It was great but bc of dog had to get takeout. Overall it was adequate.

      Run down

      We arrived on a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon to find the pool covered in a canvas tarp. Very disappointing! The property has zero charm, carpets badly worn, fixtures old. Our toilet was not properly secured to the floor as the bolts were rusted out so the toilet wobbled when in use. On the plus side, they provided a helpful list of food places that would deliver.

      There are vending machines in the hallway. The refrigerator in the room was good size. A cold continental breakfast is included. The TV is easy to use and offers the channels we wanted to watch.
      The motel is dog friendly and there's a good size grassy field out back (equipped with a big dumpster) where you can exercise your dog. Overall, I would not recommend staying here unless you're just passing through Ellsworth and want to be near Walmart and Home Depot.

      Comfortable stay

      An older hotel that has the basics and is pet friendly. Comfortable enough, clean, an adequate accommodation. Very convenient to shopping. Across the street from a nature preserve, trails, and bird sanctuary. Nothing fancy, but it was really all I needed for 2 nights. The staff were very helpful and hospitable. Very organized and plentiful information about the area: walking trails, things to do, see and enjoy.

      Big outdoor space

      Loved the big outdoor space to walk Buddy around. Comfortable rooms but a little loud (other dogs barking and door noises).

      Great location

      Heading up to Nova Scotia, wanted a room to spend night before heading up. Our Aussie loved it, staff friendly and treated Loki and us with care and room was clean bed was comfortable. Great place for pets had nice open property for dogs to play.

      Great motel

      Nice motel with friendly, helpful staff. Local restaurants give you a discount if you show your room key. Plenty of space to walk your pets. Nice location near restaurants. Not a far drive to Acadia National Park.
