- LisaOct. 28, 2021Good
We stayed here for two nights. It was a little weird because our room was a drive away. Check-in building is separate from the rooms. They didn’t offer continental breakfast or any amenities, but good location and a great room! Love the king size bed - very comfortable. The TV is good too! Very dog friendly!!
- ErikaSep. 27, 2021Nice views
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has great sunset views. There is a good grassy area in front to walk dogs. Needs carpet cleaning like most places. Overall would stay again.
- DennisSep. 7, 2021Just what we needed
Traveling home and needed a place to spend the night. Large area to walk the dog and convenient access to dining options.
- JohnAug. 20, 2021Great location, near Freeport and the highway
The location was very handy for Freeport, close to the highway and a reasonable distance from Portland. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. What was needed was more staff for cleaning etc. But that is an issue in almost all hotels and restaurants across the country. Not the hotel's fault.
- MichaelJun. 5, 2021Not so great
Card keys did not work consistently. Mold on lower 4” of shower curtain. TV did NOT work.
- PattiAug. 1, 2020Not The Best Choice
The room we had was newly renovated and they were dog friendly that’s about all I can say that’s positive. We choose this hotel because it had a pool....on another property not where our room was located, nowhere does it tell you that. The building we were in did not have an outside lock on the building-there was a useless key card lock that wasn’t locked. To make matters worse, the security lock on our room had been removed and the deadbolt was none functioning. We took our belongings with us when we left the room and propped a chair against the door at night. We won’t be staying here again.
- SharonJan. 2, 2020Uber pet friendly
Great location, clean, updated and very dog friendly hotel.
Will definitely be back! - TeresaNov. 8, 2019Perfect location, right off US 1
Would definitely return. Rooms definitely pet friendly and very comfortable. Nice pet area outside.

We loved this place. Clean, comfortable and convenient
- MargoSep. 12, 2019I'd recommend only for very short stopover
First off, the pet rate is now $20/per pet/per night. As far as us & our dogs, the staff was extremely nice & made sure we had a room on the 1st floor near the exit - for potty breaks. However the parking lot for motorcycles & semi trucks was right outside our window so the evening & morning noise was pretty bad. The walls & ceiling were so thin so we could hear entire conversations as folks walked by and people walking on the floor above us. The room was very small so the dogs & humans found it difficult to move around. The "free breakfast" was inedible. We ended up having to make an unschedule stop for breakfast the morning we left.
- AmySep. 9, 2019Clean and quiet
Very handy to downtown Freeport and easy on/off the highway. Not fancy but met our needs -
Would stay again. - Margaret elaineSep. 3, 2019great place to stay with our pups
we always stay here when in Freeport. the rooms are great, and the people who work there are great as well. we'll be back!

Clean, comfortable, and hassle free.
- SueApr. 11, 2019Great Hotel
We have been coming to this hotel with our dog for years. We absolutely love it. Great location. Great rates. Fantastic breakfast at the restaurant. We feel totally comfortable leaving the dog in the room if we are going somewhere that we can’t take him. Definitely recommend.
- LorraineMore than a year agowe stayed one night
The room was clean enough but had some damage to floor molding from prior pet visitors which I made sure the front desk was aware of it right away.
They put us in a 2nd floor room although when I booked the room through BringFido I was assured it was a first floor room. The hotel said they had no record of the promised first floor room. Getting to the room required walking a flight of 8 steps from one door or two flights of 8 steps from the opposite way as our room was in the middle of the hallway.
I make a point of mentioning the steps as we have an older dog and steps are not appreciated- he's a 12.5 yr old beagle.Being on the 2nd floor put us on the upper side of the hotel and taking the 8 step flight of stairs put us in the parking lot with a patch of grass approx 6'by3'. If we went with the two flights we had a larger lawn but alas the stairs were a definite hazard as these steps were partially carpeted and partially just padded with spiky nails as the hotel is in the middle of a remodel.
So we were not impressed by their dog facilities at all.
The front desk staff although friendly basically told me flat out I should just call them directly next time to assure that I get a room that I expect. All in all the hotel worked for our purposes and being that it was a last minute booking we were glad we were able to have our dog with us.
We just don't know how they can consider a 2nd floor room to be "pet friendly".

10-3-16, we loved this hotel. We stayed in main building. Cafe on the grounds. Grass spaces for the dogs with poop bags & disposal. Loved the keurig (& could get more coffee as needed). IN ROOM recycling. Okay to leave well behaved dogs, just had to leave cell #. Staff very friendly (owner was even in the office when we checked out), room recently renovated with modern touch. Very close to LL Bean & quaint area around.
- HeatherMore than a year agoThe whole family enjoyed the stay
Traveling with 2 dogs and a 4 year old child can be a bit tricky. This hotel made it easy enough that I've just booked another stay with them. The rooms were clean and we appreciated that the whole building was non-smoking. We loved being able to leave the dogs in our room while we walked to the cafe for a wonderful breakfast.
