Room was not cleaned properly; dirt in bathroom, on walls, and floor.

Pros: super pet friendly and good location. Cons: rooms are dated and look dirty. Ok the room wasn't actually dirty, but it was old and dated enough that it looked dingy and dirty. Bathtub needed to be re-grouted so just looked disgusting even though it was clean. Staff is very friendly and greeted my pup with treats at check-in. I probably would stay there again because it's hard to find a pit bull friendly hotel, but it could use some upgrading.

Although pet friendly, the hotel room was disgusting and smelled of pet urine. When opening the closet door, we were blasted with pet waste odor. There was insulation stuffed under the air conditioner that our puppy was able to get into. We caught her quickly and moved the chair to block it off. We checked out the next day and got a room just down the road at DoubleTree by Hilton Portland ME. The rooms were much cleaner and they have a small (fenced in) dog park out back. I highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Portland ME and do not waste your time or money at Hampton Inn Portland Airport

When they say dog friendly, they mean it! Every staff member stopped to say hi to my pooch, and tell me about their own. Greeted with dog bones! 10 minute drive to Quarry Run Dog Park (great off-leash woodsy area). And...free breakfast and chocolate chip cookies at night for the humans :-)

Price was great and the stay was fine. No pet fee is welcomed. The front desk gave us a plastic bowl filled with dog treats! Just 4 miles from Old Town Portland.

Very quick check in and welcoming to my dogs. I had a room on the first floor close to a door to go outside. There is a large nicely mowed grass area to walk the dogs. The building was very quiet at night. The only negatives were areas that were dusty in the room. In addition the mattress was lumpy. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Love that hotel has no fee for pets. The reason for low rate, people do not clean up after their big dog. I have a small pet and always clean up the pet waste. Secondly, we loved our room the, bed soo comfortable. Because of children not being controlled properly above us, I had to move. The new room was the worst. It was a handicap room. It was very shabby. The bed was horrible and my husband and Inow have back aches. Need a new bed hotel management. And make the room more suitable. Rather shabby. Handprints everywhere. Have plans to be in area in march. May stay to give another chance. I have stayed at other hampton inns.
