Sleep Inn & Suites - Airport welcomes two dogs up to 40 lbs for an additional fee of $10 per pet, per night. Suites are not pet-friendly. Dogs must be crated if left in the room unattended, and the front desk must be given a cell number. There is a pet relief area in the back of the property with waste stations. The hotel offers an El Grande-style breakfast that includes Belgian waffles with fresh fruit topping, cereals, oatmeal, muffins, pastries, bagels, French toast, cheeses and salami, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juices. In the evening, complimentary hors d'oeuvres are available to all guests. The hotel is one mile from Splash Water Park, Eastbrook, and Woodland Mall. Within six miles are Grand Rapids Hoops, Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids Rampage, and Gerald R Ford Museum. Van Andel Museum is 15 miles away and Grand Haven is 30. Landscaping was a little shaggy and overgrown. When it was mowed, grass was not blown from sidewalks. Employees were very friendly and the lobby was neat. Our room was dirty; carpet was unraveling, a dirty spot on the tile, and crumbs and peanuts on floor. Furniture was coming apart. Shower needed to be cleaned. Hallway and side entrance needed mopped and vacuumed. The people were hanging out in the parking lot and the side door vaping and smoking were scary. Felt like a drug/homeless area. Will not go back!
