  Under New Management

  The marquee said 'new management.' If so, somebody bought a dilapidated motel and may be trying to refurbish it. But as of now, everything is old and worn out: carpet, sheets, pillows, furniture, etc. And beware it clearly says 'no refunds.' I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere once I saw the place.

  Convenient Stop

  This motel is nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the towels were fresh and newly washed. The decor is fairly dated but after being on a long camping trip that was not a concern. Our 2 big dogs (both labs) had ample room to stretch out on the floor in the room after having to sleep in a big crate while we have been camping. The couple that run the motel were very nice and helped us with a late night check-in in the rain. they offer some simple pre-packed pastries and coffee in the AM. They only lost a bone in my rating because you can tell that they haven’t yet figured out how to keep the smell from the smoking rooms from permeating in to the non smoking rooms. They didn’t smell smoky but they had that stale smell that is associated with a room that might have been converted from a smoking room and still has not lost the smell after many washes.
