    Room deposit

    I’ve stayed here before because it was pet friendly and no pet fee. Was very surprised when I checked in for a room deposit. My surprise was an outrage when I got my receipt the next morning to see that the room deposit was $100 was actually charged to my credit card already.

    Worst La Quinta

    My dog and I stay at many La Quintas for work and pleasure. This is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at. The property is seriously run down, hasn’t been updated in years. Upon checking in the front desk guy was mad about having to work and let everyone in earshot know about it.He put me on the second floor, about as far away from the lobby as you can possibly get. Did I mention, there’s no elevator. He could let me know that I could’ve parked much closer and made my three trips back-and-forth to the room a little easier.

    The room itself had a “nice” 1980s feel to it. The TV wasn’t working, internet sucked and had a slight hint of mold. The hotel itself wasn’t all that noisy however my dog is freaked out all night, as she was hearing something that made her extremely nervous. This morning We went for a walk so she could do her thing, The pet relief area was littered with trash to include used condoms. I complained to the guy at the front desk, who was extremely apathetic. Breakfast was a joke. A bowl of bananas, a few packages of oatmeal, a couple of prepackaged muffins that could’ve doubled as hockey pucks and no hot water. If it were possible to give it -5 bones or more I would. Stay clear of this place.

    Great stay!

    It was a great room and price! The area was wonderful as everything was very close! The mall of America was about a 7 minute drive so it was perfect. The only complaint was that the hallways smelled like smoke, but we couldn’t smell it in our room so it didn’t bother us much. Thank you for letting us stay!

    Don’t stay here

    The pictures are nothing like what the hotel actually is...the carpet in the hallways are dirty, the neighborhood and the clientele staying here are scary. We traveled from Virginia with 2 dogs, so we have extra luggage. The hotel does not have an elevator. When I told the front desk staff that we had extra luggage, one of the staff said they would help with the luggage. When my husband came in with the luggage cart full of luggage, the front desk staff completely ignored us and turned the other way. They all stood around behind the desk and were talking and joking. They didn’t lift a finger to help us. Completely unprofessional! The area and the clientele are skanky! I gave it 2 bones because I did like the layout of the room and it was somewhat clean. But don’t stay here!!!! We won’t come here again!
