Our pet friendly room reeked of pot smoke and ants had infested the bathroom area. This place was so dirty and gross even our pups stuck their nose up at it. It did have a nice area where the pups could do their business. That’s the only reason it got two bones.

This motel wasn’t too bad but def not top rated. The beds were rock hard, the pillows were hard and lumpy and because the doors open to the sidewalk it was pretty noisy. We were charged a room deposit for the dog in addition the extra per night so we had to find an atm. The neighborhood was pretty busy as well. Since it was just a one night quick stay it wasn’t too bad, but we won’t be returning? The breakfast was pretty skimpy as well, but it was cheaper than other motels so I guess that’s to be expected. They did have a nice grassy area for our dog so that’s a plus!!

1st - Customer Service. Upon using BringFido, this property was selected due to location, rating, price, etc. With a Service Animal (SA) in tow, we made the reservation. In both the online application and with the confirmed reservation, it was indicated that there was no charge for Service Animals (also a Federal Law). Upon arriving and checking in, advised the night clerk that I had a SA. He called and checked with management (presumably), and asked for evidence for the SA. The information was retrieved and presented to the clerk who photocopied the tag/information. A debit card was requested for incidentals - also, seemingly normal. The SA was never in the lobby or any common area. The SA remained in the room with the guests, per hotel requirements and used the grassy area for relief in both a.m. and p.m. - and solids were collected and disposed of in a waste receptacle.
Upon check-out, no incidental charges were verified and we departed. Within a couple of minutes, received a phone call from the hotel advising that we'd be charged $15 for the SA. This was a surprise due to all the previous content I advised that when I checked in that the SA was identified and evidence presented. The morning clerk asked if the animal was an SA, I responded yes. He then asked what service the SA performs - I advised that it was for a medical condition. The clerk then asked what was my condition. WHAT? I replied that my condition was private and of a personal nature and that he couldn't ask that question. He persisted telling me that he had every right to ask what condition I needed an SA for. Well aware of my rights under the ADA and HIPPA, I advised him that when asked the two questions that I complied with the requests and provided evidence upon check-in. The clerk persisted, and told me that "he works in this business and knows what to do". I find that hard to believe. I told the clerk that I had a medical condition and that my SA was in place for said condition. I was then told that if I didn't tell him my condition that I would be charged $15 for the SA. I told the clerk he couldn't do that by Federal Law. He hung up. The charge was applied to my card (disputed with my company). The main customer care line was called and a complaint lodged with the franchisee and the Customer Care with Wyndham (active Wyndham member). I could not believe being put into that position. False advertising, false witness, fraud and extraordinarily poor customer service.
2nd - Property: The room clearly hadn't been cleaned before the next guest very well. It lacked a good vacuuming and wipe down. Clearly little to no Covid precautions. The pool was terribly dirty and unkempt. The door/latch stuck (Room 220). A/C did work well and the towels were clean. This review will also be posted on Yelp and TripAdvisor

The management of the hotel was very nice. But this is the kind of hotel that is right next to an interstate, and it has exterior doors. If you travel enough, then you know what to expect. We could hear the guy's cell phone conversation in the next room until about 11 PM. There were a bunch of guys hanging around outside, which made me a little nervous.
On the bright side, the breakfast was good. They have an automatic pancake maker that I have never seen before. My kids love pancakes, so that hit the spot.
