We had a great experience in every way. Maddie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Kevin (our pup) loved the attractive, shady pet relief area which was well stocked with bags. The free breakfast was better than anticipated and included bacon, eggs potatoes as well as make your own waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt-you get the idea. Everything about the hotel was up to date and clean, and quiet as well. We were given a very convenient room on the first floor. Five bones and a “Woof!” We would definitely stay here again.

Easy access off the Blue Ridge. The GPS took us into the parking lot of neighboring hotel an additional sign there might be helpful.

It's rare to find a nice hotel that welcomes an 80-lb dog, so we and our dog are so grateful to have found La Quinta in Boone. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!

We had a lovely time staying at this hotel. The hotel and our room were nicely furnished. We got a room on the first floor as requested. There is a small dog walk area with poop bags and waste can. The hot breakfast was good. The stopper in our bathroom sink didn’t work. Within a few minutes of reporting this issue, the manager came to our room and fixed the stopper. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They didn’t even get upset when our dog escaped from our room and ran down the hallway. My husband caught her and made a joke about runaways not being allowed. The desk clerk smiled and laughed at his joke. We would definitely stay here again!

As we arrived there was a sign on the front door that stated “Bring Fido, we love pets”. We were down from PA visiting our daughter in NC and the reviews sounded good for this hotel. We were told that we could pay cash for the room from Thursday to Monday. Upon arrival my wife was informed that they have to have a “card on file” so I had to travel to an atm to deposit cash while my wife stayed behind with our belongings at the hotel. After check in my wife and daughter immediately changed and went to the pool. 5 minutes after being in the room the room phone rings and they inform me of a “noise complaint” which I stated had to be a mistake since it was the dog and I in the room and the tv was off at the time. I let it pass. Approximately 10 minutes later the phone rings again to “confirm who is in the room to make sure they have the right people in the right room”. Which I thought was odd and unprofessional. So the night passes we head out the next mid morning to explore Boone and have some lunch while the dog stayed behind at the “pet friendly, large dogs welcome” hotel. Upon ordering our food at a restaurant 6-7 minutes from the hotel I receive this text “ Good afternoon, this is the La Quinta. We have received another noise complaint about your dog. Please come back to the hotel and not leave the pet alone again. Thank you”.
That is an awesome exact copy and paste of the TEXT not phone call I received from the hotel. I left my wife and daughter at the restaurant to go investigate the issue with the dog at the hotel. The young lady behind the counter who clearly had a name tag that said supervisor on it said she was not a supervisor when I asked and that she “might” be able to find a manager. After a brief chat with the young lady/supervisor/ not supervisor she walked approximately 3 feet to the room behind her to my surprise to find the “manager”. I questioned what was going on and was advised that it’s their rule you can’t leave the dog alone in the hotel. Mind you I take our dog everywhere and this is the first I’ve heard of this rule. So I picked up my beloved Kora and went back to the restaurant. My wife called and spoke with said “manager” who stated he would refund our money that they charged our card even though they said they would not charge and that we would only be “charged” for the night we stayed which we agreed. When we arrived back at the hotel to retrieve our belongings my wife went to the room to get our items and I went to the front desk to speak with the manager.
At this time he informed me that we would be charged for two nights because of what time we arrived back at the hotel to get our belongings. I questioned this and contacted the customer service line to which I was told all they could do is log the complaint that the property owner has 7 days to reply to my complaint. So we were charged the $288 and some change for two nights even though the only night we stayed was Thursday and we had already secured an air bnb for Friday-Monday. As of the day . I just wanted everyone to who checks this website to be aware that they are not “pet friendly” and we only received a copy of the “pet rules” upon our checking out of the hotel. No pet rules or contracts were signed at the time of check in. Travelers beware.

Room was clean and staff was helpful. Felt safe as adequate covid requirements were mostly followed. Would have given 5 bones had it not been for the dog walk area. It was small, and thanks to inconsiderate people that don't pick up, a bit if a minefield, and there wasn't much in the way of options. Not the hotel's fault, but opportunity to improve rating. Property was very picturesque a good value for a one night stay.

Not much for dogs in way of green space. Entrances /exits are difficult with traffic. Noisy. Thin walls. Friendly staff and nice pool, but no help when there are noisy children bouncing above you and running in hallways. Noise is clearly a problem and staff while nice don’t help correct the problem. We even had staff using power tools outside our door at 9pm. Parking is a problem with another hotel sharing space. Keep looking for another place,

When we checked in the parking was overfilled and people had parked taking two spots so we could not find a place. There were other people struggling to find places to park and we had to park on a road.

We stayed here in Boone for two nights with our pup. The hotel and facilities were spotless. All of the staff we encountered were courteous, professional and very helpful. Specific shout out to the staff managing the breakfast area. They were ‘on it’ with everything. Never ran out of anything and went out of their way to make sure the guests were happy. Definitely would recommend, especially for families and those with dogs.

At this La Quinta staff was friendly and they were good to the dogs, but if you are in a vulnerable population, be warned: many people roaming halls, common areas, and elevators without masks. I saw no reinforcement of the rules by staff.

Once again La Quinta Inn did not dissapoint! Rooms we clean with no smell of animals so our 2 dogs were very comfortable, adequate space for dogs to do their business and clean up bags provided. We loved the lodge feel to the hotel.

Our pup had plenty of company. I actually would NOT advise non-dog loving people to stay here. The room was comfy and clean. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the decks with the unique and fun cabin style furniture.

You can tell that specific rooms are reserved for dogs because of the smell. I love it there and the people are very nice and will accommodate you as best they can, but people ..... please wash and clean your dog when you go to a hotel. Also, make sure they don’t pee in the rooms, if they are the type to go in the room, don’t take them to a hotel. I don’t blame the hotel for any of this.

No weight restrictions, up to 3 pets, all rooms pet-friendly. No pets allowed in pool, gym, or breakfast area. Our room had Tempur-pedic mattresses, all bedding and towels very clean. No bad smells of any kind. Couldn’t hear other people through the walls. Bathroom tile looked new & shower walls were full granite. The hotel doesn’t recommend leaving your dog in the room if you are away and had you leave your number at the desk if they get noise complaints if you do so. Check out is 11:00 but we got a one hour extension.
