  Good location, but too much noise

  First time here. Most of the things the motel could control were acceptable. Check in was efficient and courteous. Room was clean upon entry. Room VERY basic. Small TV. Limited channels. Room too expensive for what you get. We did have a dog with us. Up charge of $33 including tax - that’s reasonable. They did have a dog run at back of property that was good to let our dog off leash for a few minutes. The area around this motel is NOISY and the rooms do NOT block any of the noise. The parking lot is shared with a restaurant/bar next door and its’ one way nature forces all traffic to drive by all the rooms. The typical vehicle in Carolina Beach is and unnecessarily loud lifted truck. Mix that with bar patrons leaving until closing time and it was tough to sleep. So if any of your humans or dogs are light sleepers, this is NOT the place for you. Lastly, the walkways smell like an ashtray. EVERY room has a bench and a cigarette receptacle. Let me be clear, I room did not smell like it, but as soon as you leave your room you are overwhelmed by it.

  Rooms set up for dogs

  We had a ground level room making it easy to take the dogs out. Hotel dog park was convenient but left dogs with very sandy paws.

  Nice place

  It was a nice hotel for our stay. Loved that they accept our fur baby. Staff was great!!

  Nice folks

  Everyone was super nice, the room was a little bare bones, but was clean and just what we needed when traveling. There were some late nite peeps out, Franci didn't like that, but she finally settled down after a short while.

  Perfect for dogs

  Loved the whole trip!! Perfect place for dogs! Nice rooms. Great people! Great location for walking.

  No fuss, basics

  Checking in and out was super quick and easy. I was worried that I might have issues because we have a bulldog, but they didn’t even ask to see her. The room had a tile floor, so it was nice not to worry about wet paws. If you’re looking for ultimate human comfort, this isn’t it. The beds were alright, but “alright” could describe the entire experience, lol. I had 3 kids and a dog with me. We were going for simple and easy, and this was perfect.

  Great location, super dog friendly!

  We love staying here, there is a dog park for the fur baby and the location is phenomenal. Super close to Freeman Park where you can bring dogs. So many things within walking distance, it is our favorite place to stay in Carolina Beach!
