  Unfortunately, the hotel was not in great shape. Dirty, kind of smelled. Nice gentleman behind the desk but it was not up the wife's standards and we booked a hotel 90 minutes away in Fayetteville, NC and drove there.

  We love stopping here on our trips south. It’s clean, has everything you need in the room, staff is friendly & helpful, & this recent trip in particular the worked with me with switching the date a couple of days after the deadline because I had to put one of my dogs down unexpectedly.   Dirty dishes in the sink!

  There were dirty dishes in the sink when we arrived, the door lock was partially broken off, and the room was very hot. However, the gentleman at the desk was nice and moved us to another room right away which was cool and clean!

  Great location, clean and friendly

  We've stayed multiple times at Candlewood Suites Rocky Mount during our travels. Love the Suite+BR, quiet hallway, and full-size fridge with freezer. Good location with areas to walk the dog. Only wish breakfast was available but there are restaurants in the area. Staff are all dog lovers!

  Conveniently located, spacious room and very affable personnel. Only thing slightly bothersome was this slight smell that we could not distinguish what it was from. We mentioned it to front desk and they said they had sprayed the room but it was still persisting. Otherwise all went well.

  Dog party!!

  Staff was super friendly and helpful. This was our first time traveling with our dogs. We had no idea what to expect. It seemed like everyone was traveling with their pups. The room was clean and well appointed.

  Convenient Stay

  This property is next to the I-95 corridor and we stayed to break up our trip. Very clean and friendly with an ample kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Plan on cooking in, going out or delivery. But, there are plenty of snacks, treats, drinks and microwave foods for purchase. Ice cream too!

  Friendly staff, convenient parking, a bit dark at night. Hotel was busy around 10pm and hotel charged my credit card even though BringFido had charged me for room.

  Great room!

  We travel with two Aussies, who are spoiled and therefore the family needs a king bed! Room (suite) was very spacious and gave us all space. Was clean which is what matters. Only reason giving 4 bones is that the property was showing signs of wear. But again, my boys and hubby were satisfied.

  Dog Friendly

  We got there late and they were very welcoming. The room had a refrigerator and sink and even some silverware which was nice because my dogs eat raw food that has to be cut up. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We forgot the dog bed and had to ask them to let us back in the room and they quickly found someone to get it for us. Would stay again.

  Clean and friendly stay

  We stayed for only one night during a drive between PA and FL. The check-in process was quick and efficient. The front desk attendants both at night and in the morning were super friendly. The room was big and clean. We didn’t see any other dogs on property but we stayed on the first floor which was easy with getting our dog in and out of the facility. There’s also a nice sized grassy area outside of the hotel for the dog to use. Would definitely stay again as an option for a quick night of rest from our drive up and down the east coast.

  Clean, consistent and quiet

  We absolutely love Candlewood Suites in Rocky Mount. Having tried other pet friendly hotels driving back and forth from NY to FL it is the only one that has been consistently terrific in the 7 years we’ve stayed there, and I’m really picky. I think all most people want is to know a pet-friendly hotel is clean and comfortable for both them and their fur babies and this hotel beats them all. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know who travels thru Rocky Mount.

  Acceptable stop on the highway

  We stopped in Rocky Mount on our drive from NY to FL. The hotel staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel was clean but it is a basic hotel, nothing fancy. The price was reasonable and we needed a place to stop close to the highway. Our dog was greeted and we had no issues with his stay.

  Clean hotel with friendly staff

  we stayed here one night on our drive from CT to SC. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The only negatives were that the hallway and elevator were a big dingy and the hotel is in an area that appears not in the nicest neighborhood but we did not have any problems or feel unsafe. I’d stay here again.

  I guess I booked this room in a hurry because I didn't realize they didn't serve breakfast. They do have a mini kitchen. I had bagels and peanut butter with me. Nice and clean, no problems.

  We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of our room, free laundry on the premises, and very friendly staff. If you have pets and are traveling thru Rocky Mount, you need this place.

  Needs Improvement

  This property welcomed is warmly with our pet. Gave us a convenient lower level room. But the reality is this property is badly in need of an update. The carpet in the hallways was written and there was an unpleasant odor. Doors to rooms were chipped and damaged. Rooms themselves seemed very tired, furniture, stained and dirty. Floors seemed only marginally clean. Bath vanity did seem newer and towels were okay. Bed was acceptable. We got up and left early the next morning as it just was just not a room you wanted to spend anytime in. Being my first experience at a Candlewood suites I was concerned that this was how all the properties were. However, the very next night I stayed in a Candlewood suites in Maryland and it was very lovely all remodeled. So I believe it was just this property. Don't book this hotel unless you verify they've had an update since May of 2022.

  Candlewood Suites Rocky Mount was probably the best dog friendly hotel that we’ve stayed at in North Carolina. The suite was very spacious and the mini kitchen was well equipped. Comfy bed too!! Flooring was 100% dog friendly.

Highly recommend, the best hotel we have ever stayed at with our furry friend, will visit again on our many trips to SC!

  No hot water when we got up. Not much sympathy from the staff, actually none. Since that’s an anomaly (I hope) we didn’t hold it against them. Room was spacious and clean and little kitchenette was well stocked for light meals. Beds comfy. Moody REALLY liked the doggie bones.

  Dog friendly

  Hotel is easy off I95. Desk staff friendly towards my dogs but not overtly which is ok. He had baggies of treats for each dog. Well marked large grassy area near parking lot with trash can and poop bags if needed. Floor in room was not carpeted which is good. Lots of other people there with dogs. Other than being able to hear people in the hallway the room was quiet. There was a two burner stovetop in my suite which was nice to boil water for tea; there was a pot but it took a while to figure out how to turn it on- which was a timer switch on the wall. It would be beneficial to have instructions. Desk attendant gave me a list of restaurants nearby, there were a lot! Best part is there is the Best Friend’s dog park less than three miles from the hotel in a residential area of town-it was large with separate areas for big and small and was grassy. My two benefitted from a good run there before getting back in the car for a long ride! I also went by a couple parks in town that looked nice with walking paths.

  Great location and hotel

  Candlewood Suites hotel was perfect for our one night stay over with our dog! Location was perfect and the room was immaculate and had all the necessities of home! More importantly, it was spotless and no carpeting which I prefer in my hotel room. We even had dinner delivered from a local restaurant in which the hotel provided a list of all restaurants who delivered. Very accommodating.

  This place is terrific. Front desk person Gregg very friendly and efficient. Room big and clean. Generous policy. Only $25 per night for up to 3 pets! There were 12 dogs there the night we stayed!

  The room was clean and there was plenty of room for crate for the dog. We loved the quality of the bed linens and towels! Also, the room had a nice wood floor which is great for dogs. There was a lot of space to walk the dogs around the hotel as well.

  All around wonderful!

  Customer service was stellar (thank you Gregg). Lots of space to walk the 4-leggeds (fellow travelers, please pick up your pet's poop in public spaces, thank you). Room was quiet enough that the dogs didn't bark at every little noise. Floor space in a double queen suite was ample for 3 large dogs to spread out, beds were comfy. No complaints at all.

  Everything you need

  The suite has a kitchen which allowed us to cook a bit of chicken for our pup as a treat. Dishes etc are right there. We were able to book a first floor room which was nice for our senior dog. There is a specific grassy area for the dog to utilize when nature calls. Our room was clean and the hotel was quiet. We would definitely re-visit for an overnight stay.

  Very clean and takes two dogs

  While not the most glamorous accommodations, the hotel is very clean, the staff is very nice and the dog walk area and station is very close to the front door (as opposed to being next to the dumpster in many hotels). The rooms we have been booked in have tile (no carpet) which is great, comfortable beds and decent bathroom. For the cost ($25 pet fee for two dogs), this is a good selection for the Rocky Mount, NC area.

  Hotel was clean and staff were nice. Location is very close to I-95, and convenient. Good area dining selection ... nothing fancy, but overall good choices and reasonably close to hotel. Property was good for pets. Good value for an overnight stay ... but was very crowded and noisy from large number of construction crews who were staying there.

  We reserved a king suite and when we arrived they have is a Queen. I was too tired to say anything at that point. Later in the evening front desk called room and asked what are last name was and then told me I signed wrong reservation when we checked in. Told him I signed what he gave me and that we got wrong room we reserved king suite. He said they have no king suites(clueless). The bed is also dangerous close to the wall and air conditioning unit I almost tripped 2 times when trying to get to the bathroom. Other than that the place was great!!!

  Overall, the hotel was satisfactory, the bed was very comfortable and the suite was spacious. The hallways smelled and the furniture in the room was cheap and old. It was ok for a one night passing through and of course the time was during virus lockdown so that could have been part of the issue..

  Location ideal for route 95 commute. Dog friendly with large and comfortable room. Stayed twice and each time impressed with how quiet the hotel is and well lit the parking. No breakfast included and the diner next door is fine but takes too much time waiting to order when all you want to do it get into the car and go.
