Surpassed expectations. Friendly staff made it especially worthwhile. Rooms a bit small, but great view and great walking access to downtown.

    Dog welcoming

The hotel is right on the river walk so there's lots to see and smell. The management welcomes the dogs (and owners). Restaurants with outdoor tables along waterfront welcome pups. Great town for dogs who like to explore.

    Great location

Right on the water, nice views, convenient grassy areas. Would've given 5, but they claimed there was breakfast. It was continental at best, and crammed into what might've been one of their rooms.

    Great location, very welcoming

Easy walk to the river walk and downtown restaurants and shops. Very welcoming of our pup, good green space for potty. Staff was awesome, especially Roz! Our room was a tad small but fine for us.

    Clean Friendly Hotel

The hotel was super friendly and clean. The rooms have outdoor corridors which I am not a big fan of. The location is okay, but a lot of construction going on at the moment. Once they finish the work the area will be much more desirable. The town was not as dog friendly as I expected, maybe because it was a Sunday and things were not open and the weather was rainy.

    Noisy heat system

Room and grounds were perfect. Low score due to not being able to sleep as heat system is very loud.

    Awesome all around!

I’m from Wilmington, so I know the area well, but first time bringing our Rescue down for a visit. First, price was great, location is awesome. Pet rooms are first floor so you have an insane view of the river and our Husky loved every minute looking at the view. Rooms close to the pet area, and you are steps away from the river walk which is the ultimate dog walk! Rooms were in better shape than what i thought they would be and the bed were great! This will be our go to hotel every time we bring our dog home to Wilmington!!

    Very pet friendly!

What a beautiful place to stay and bring your Pups (in my case I have 2)! The room, staff could not have been more pleasant! Everyone here loves dogs and you just feel that closeness as soon as you enter the lobby! Highly recommend this BW!

    Direct access to river walk

There’s a nice grassy area in the back of the hotel that leads right to the river walk. We arrived too late and left too early to try any dog friendly spots but there’s a dog friendly coffee shop that’s really close!

Cape Fear river front & corner of historic district

The riverfront boardwalk and broad grassy area was perfect for dogs. We had limited time to walk the historic district, and managed it easily from this hotel. Had to find dinner in the area (nothing at the hotel), but great breakfast made by 'Granny' at the hotel.
