The Red Roof Inn was fine. We were just super spoiled coming from our last accommodation. Reasonably clean, and in reasonable repair. No extras, local information, TV guide for channels, etc.

Room was clean and had plenty of room for us and the dog. Desk service was very helpful. Convenient location to college, box stores, and good restaurants.

The Red Roof Inn in Wilmington is so gross. There are dirty used needles on the ground where we are suppose to walk our fur babies. The outdoor pool was out of commission. The rooms were dirty and there was feces on the floor in the room. I did not even want my fur baby to touch the floor in this disgusting hotel. Office staff is extremely rude and they give you the smallest bar of soap and 2 dingy towels

Review is based on the fact that this is a 2-star level hotel, and I am by NO means a neat freak. I paid more for this hotel than I usually do when I travel with my pet transport business, yet it was not the best Red Roof I’ve booked. I expect my room to be moderately clean and the amenities listed to be available. The floors (all hard surfaces) had not been swept well. the bathroom fixtures were dirty, towels were dingy, and something sticky on the table. The HVAC unit was filthy as was the vent fan in the bathroom. Glad I brought my air cleaner. Smoke detector covered in plastic. Hole under the door big enough for large bugs or other creatures to crawl through. There was no coffeemaker or hairdryer in the room, thankfully I travel with both. Breakfast not available due to COVID19, yet prices don’t reflect that. Parking lot, walkways, and grassy areas all dirty and littered. Pet waste station broken and no bags available. Only working ice machine was on the other side of the hotel and needed cleaning as well. Appeared to be some construction workers staying that were not quiet when they left early in the mornings, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Location is good with stores and restaurants nearby including a Waffle House within walking distance. Front desk clerk was pleasant enough. I would stay again if I needed to be in the area.

They would not let me in because I’m a local. Therefore, I had to find another hotel last minute. I had moved out of state 5 days before and had to come back to finish clearing out my house.

My husband, Corgi, and Myself took a trip down to Wilmington to meet up with a group of people for a Corgi Beach Day at Topsail. I found this hotel on BringFido.com and we were so pleased with our stay here. Besides the guests that were extremely rude next to us the weekend getaway was fantastic. This hotel is located close to downtown Wilmington and right across the street from a shopping center that includes a Petsmart. The customer service of the people working the front desk was superb. When we first got our room keys they did not work but the woman working at the front desk was very apologetic and corrected the issue quickly and efficiently. There were many other people staying there with their pets that weekend as well and we had no issues with barking throughout the day or night. On the backside of the hotel is where you walk the dogs there is a trash can and doggy bags. Overall I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to the Wilmington area with your pup or cat! We will definitely be coming back.

We stopped by for 1 night passing through to Florida. No pet fee, modern room with fridge. Comfortable bed but squeeky. We had room on 1st floor which is convenient but little noisy. You can hear people talking. I woke up to scrating noise sound from outside on my door. Somebody's dog was scratching the door. They ask us to register the dog (asking about how many dogs you have). I would stay here again. PetsSmart is right next door in case you need anything. Riverfront boardwalk is only 10 min drive from the hotel.
