  Great for a quick overnight

  Warm reception at the desk, clean room and just what we needed to land for the night as we travel from NJ to Key West! Bed was comfy, plenty of towels. Rug is clean but needs to be replaced. Coffee and simple breakfast in the lobby. Laundry facilities available. Grateful to find a decent stay with our pup. Thanks!

  Nice newer building

  We had an end room on the first floor with easy outside access. The building is set back at the end of the street so there was plenty of grass and no traffic to speak of. There was no designated dog walk, we were told anywhere on the grass was fine. No poop bags were supplied. A very minimalist continental breakfast was available for the humans in our group.

  It was clean and with taxes just under $100. However, worst bed EVER! The staff was nice, but didn’t sleep much.

  Great off the highway location

  We were driving up 95 and it was time to stop. I pulled up our BringFido app and found this option. It’s cheap and like others said, a bit dated and our room needed some TLC. However, overall, for a 5 hour stop, to rest with the pups it was clean, and the staff was friendly even when we came in at 1 AM.

  Bare bones motel😞

  Misled by 3 1/2 bones reviews. $160 per night for very basic, outdated room. At least it was clean, but chipped old counter and bunched old carpet.

  Clean, quiet, friendly

  Everything was perfect for me and my 2 cats. Rooms were a little aged but clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. I lost my voice due to a cold and was trying to check in without speaking and the lovely woman, concluding I might be deaf, was so kind and helpful, and very understanding when I mimed to her that I could hear her just fine, I just couldn't talk. Several restaurants within a short walk. Suitcase carts for extra help.

  Decent place to stay (if you have a dog)

  We booked this hotel because of its proximity to I-95, it is pet friendly, and the pet is only $10 extra. The room wasn't the cleanest, but besides that it was pretty good.

  Doggie and human approved!

  We were in a bind as all hotels we had planned on staying were full when we checked due to super heavy day after Christmas traffic. We were almost 3 hours behind due to wrecks and thought we would drive all night. The receptionist was so sweet and empathetic for our situation I was at ease and the next 2 hours went way more smoothly. We have stayed at many dog friendly hotels in the past and I can assure you that the negative reviews are not true. Our room was very clean with no odors and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The back entrance was very convenient to a nice waking area for dogs. We will gladly stay here again if we ever make the trek to Rhode Island. This hotel so a great deal! we paid much more in the way up with way less friendly staff.

  Needs some work

  I know it is a budget hotel but there are some things that can be accomplished without a large cash outlay. No elevator to second floor rooms. Carpets were extremely dirty in hallways and rooms.

  Good night

  The hotel was good. Area seemed safe, right off the highway. The room was okay, for a pet friendly hotel. Smelled a little musty, but an air freshener did the trick. I was just passing through and staying the night, which I would do again. I would not choose to stay here long term for a vacation. The staff was very friendly to me and my dog.

  I always book my motel while traveling through BringFido. I made a mistake on the date and called right away. I actually got a nice lady that helped me and rebooked for the correct day. I have not been disappointed and have been booking with them for several years now.

  Never staying here again

  Positives: Free breakfast from 5-9 am. One room was close to the side door great for taking the dog out
  NEGATIVE: The rug in my room was pieced together. The bathroom tiles had (not real tile) shifted so you could see where it was separated, the tub was rusty, there was a hair on one towel like it was just folded and left, and you couldn’t open the close door. Our second room had a leaking ceiling over the toilet. One bone is too many.

  Don’t be fooled by “Wyndham” in the name

  We needed a last minute hotel for a road trip with our pup. The hotel was dog friendly, which was good, but I thought since it was a Wyndham property it would have nice amenities and the quality was really more motel style. Unless it is cheap (we paid nearly $200), save your $ and choose a different brand. Also no dog park or good dog walking options nearby. The BringFido booking assistance was top notch, but the hotel not so much.

  Mediocre hotel

  Staff was kind and hotel was busy. Room showed signs of age and wear, but was clean. Pillows were quite lumpy. We stayed in a pet room that smelled strongly of pet odor, but open the windows and running the AC made it work for us. Very convenient for our trip to OBX.

  A Bad Exoerience

  Microtel gets two bones because the bed and bedding was very good and the woman at the front desk was warm, friendly, and helpful. However, the carpet in the room was old, stained, and I would not walk on it without shoes or slippers. The bathroom was horrendous. The bathtub old and stained, ill fitted to the space, the tiles cracked and broken and the ceiling had water stains. The toilet seat was so thin that it couldn’t hold an small adult when seated on the closed top. I could have paid a lot less for a room of this poor quality. I will never go back. Do they think so little of dog owners that they offer such poor quality rooms? Shame on Wyndham’s fine name.

  This is a hotel in the middle of nowhere, NC but conveniently located right off I-95. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. It’s a bit outdated, but there is plenty of green space for potty breaks.

  Five star bed & bedding

  The room was really outdated, slightly creepy and the walls were paper thin. However it was by far the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bed, bedding, pillows & towels were all luxurious and five star comfort. My wife is dying to know where to purchase the pillows. Also, the front desk man was very kind and helpful!

  Just a budget hotel

  The good: plenty of space of dogs to run around. We were put into room 103 which was next to a side door and had easy access to the outside. The not-so-good: room could use an upgrade and some work. Carpet was yuk, beds and pillows were hard, and light above two queen beds ran the length of the room so that if one person wanted to read and the other wanted to sleep, the sleepy person was out of luck. Coffee was terrible and I didn’t even consider the other breakfast items. So, in short.. good for pups, not so for humans.

  Great green space

  I was pleased with the area of green space available for our dog to run around in an open field. The area wasn’t fenced in but with a very long leash she was able to get some much needed exercise. The room initially assigned was not available due to the rug still being wet after they had to shampoo the carpet. The room we had was clean, bathroom was recently redone.

  Nice area for dogs

  The dog areas were good size. My only problem was that there was no where to dispose of the dog waste. Other hotels have bags and disposal containers, while this one does not. I did not want to throw the waste in our room trash can. Other than that, everything else was good.

  Nice pet-friendly hotel

  We made a last minute/same day reservation on BringFido as we made better time than we had anticipated on our FL/NY drive with our dog. This hotel was available so we took it. Registration and pre-payment was done online, so check-in was easy. Our room key card had to be re-programmed 3 times before it worked and the exterior hallway door never did work. But the room was fine, both beds comfortable, and the bathroom immaculately clean. That’s all that we wanted....a pet-friendly, safe, clean place to spend one night. I will say that the complimentary breakfast paled in comparison to Best Western or other hotels that include a hot breakfast. But there was cereal, yogurt, pastries etc. Given so many hotels at that location, I would probably select another next time.

  Great stop-over off I-95

  We stayed here with our two chocolate Labs and were very satisfied with the facility. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and there is a large grassy area in the rear to walk your dog. The rooms were clean and we will stay here again.
