    Not Much Quality At All

    We stayed here because we were unable to get a refund and go elsewhere. They wanted us on the 2nd floor. We are in our 70s, and I walk with a cane, and we had two large suitcases, and a dog crate. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR IN THIS HOTEL!! We asked for a first floor room, and were told there were none. That was when we called the emergency number in the app. The BringFido rep, Eric, was great, and Expedia would have refunded to us, but the hotel clerk refused.

    My husband spoke with the clerk about the refusal, and was told that he would not. Another guest was checking in, and graciously offered to switch with her room, which was on the first floor, and designated as a handicap accessible room. Hardly. Evidently, they thought that having grab bars and walker-type frame around the toilet constitutes an accessible room. A wheelchair would not have been able to fit between the dresser and the bed. The room had no chair, no refrigerator or microwave. There was an iron, but no ironing board. No USB outlets, and the WiFi is not secure enough to open some websites. The swimming pool was “closed for maintenance “,but I wouldn’t have trusted it, in any case. if that isn’t enough, there is a penitentiary just down the road. AVOID THIS HOTEL !!

    Awkward location

    While motel was great for our pup, it was located very close to the state penitentiary. Otherwise, pretty good overall.

    Nice stay

    We’ve stayed here many times over the past year or so. Friendly staff, rooms are clean and they welcome our dogs with open arms !
