Not Much Quality At All

We stayed here because we were unable to get a refund and go elsewhere. They wanted us on the 2nd floor. We are in our 70s, and I walk with a cane, and we had two large suitcases, and a dog crate. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR IN THIS HOTEL!! We asked for a first floor room, and were told there were none. That was when we called the emergency number in the app. The BringFido rep, Eric, was great, and Expedia would have refunded to us, but the hotel clerk refused.

My husband spoke with the clerk about the refusal, and was told that he would not. Another guest was checking in, and graciously offered to switch with her room, which was on the first floor, and designated as a handicap accessible room. Hardly. Evidently, they thought that having grab bars and walker-type frame around the toilet constitutes an accessible room. A wheelchair would not have been able to fit between the dresser and the bed. The room had no chair, no refrigerator or microwave. There was an iron, but no ironing board. No USB outlets, and the WiFi is not secure enough to open some websites. The swimming pool was “closed for maintenance “,but I wouldn’t have trusted it, in any case. if that isn’t enough, there is a penitentiary just down the road. AVOID THIS HOTEL !!

Low Budget Will Tell

We saved some cash staying here (it was only $74, and no pet fee) but there is more to traveling than saving money. The mattresses were soft, and there were few towels—two washcloths, a hand towel, and two bath towels. The staff was pleasant, and most likely would have gotten more for us, but I feel those things should be in place. It was just old, and tired. As a quick overnight with your pup it’s fine, but for a restful, comfortable stay, you might want to spend a bit more.

Pet Area Upgrade

We’ve stayed here previously, and it was nice, but this time was even better. They redid the pet lawns, and added an irrigation system. It keeps the area fresh and green. So much nicer than lots of places we’ve stayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only caveat—and it’s not pet related—is that there are no USB plugs in the room, so bring yours from home. We would stay here again when in the area.

Mostly great

It’s a nice new hotel, the room was good, but breakfast was bad. Lukewarm scrambled eggs, a different hockey puck egg dish, and sliced fried bologna. No forks available! After asking, they found a packet of plastic ware that had one, but, come on; check your stock regularly, and certainly your breakfast setup daily.
