  Great for the puppers!

  A basic and dated motel but here’s why I like this place: comfortable beds, rooms open directly onto the parking and a beautiful dog walk next to the river. Even though it’s in a truck stop parking lot, I didn't really hear any noise. Nice front desk people. Fast food in parking area, restaurants less than a mile away. I’ll return with the dogs!

  Open space with dog path/run

  We lucked out here. Reserved one of the last rooms over the phone while driving on Interstate 80. Check-in was straightforward. Room was basic, but clean. The true value came for our Labrador when we discovered a large grassy area right off our room, which offered plenty of space for play and access to a dog path complete with signage and poop bags. A great place for Miss Luna to run around and play with a few other dogs we encountered. Do note that they aren’t doing complimentary breakfast right now, and didn’t mention that upon check-in.

  Does what it says

  I'm not sure why I booked this: I think I got confused about proximity to a Tesla charger, and their having their own. To be clear: no car charger, but the Tesla charger is about a five minute walk away. I learned something about the Travelodge brand: there are others around the world, but they are *not* the same thing. This is an independently operated place, using a Wyndham brand—and it is a pretty tired classic motel that I have to say I would never have stayed at. But, it was clean enough, dog friendly, located near where I needed it to be, and I wasn't disturbed. It was also very inexpensive: and I got a fair bargain to be honest. Really it's three bones at best, but they saw my beagle, and didn't charge—they're decent people, at a decent place. Just don't think you're getting any more than the low sticker price.

  DO NOT GO HERE - THEY ARE SCAMMERS

  This Travelodge overbooked on the night I stayed there so it had no room for me when I arrived at 9:15pm at night, and their front desk staff told me it’s overbooked every night. They didn’t even know who was staying in what room. For the patrons in front of me in line, they sent a little kid to knock on rooms to see if any were empty and/or they just gave keys to the people in line (myself included) to check for themselves! So random people, including myself, were knocking on doors and OPENING them to see if anyone was in them! Not only is this unprofessional and a total breach of privacy, but it’s also a safety risk — those poor people were lucky that I’m not a thief because they weren’t there at the time and I easily could have stolen their luggage if I was a thief!

  At 10pm, there was one room left across the street and the front desk staff still couldn’t confirm they had a room for me (or anyone in front of me in line), so I booked across the street. The woman at the desk (Penny) was really nasty to me and refused to provide written confirmation of why my reservation had to be cancelled so that I could get my money back from BringFido, so I’m now disputing the charge with BringFido (who hasn’t yet confirmed they will be refunding the pre-paid charge on my card). The front desk staff said this “happens every night” because the booking websites overbook their rooms. Regardless of why it happens, it happens, which should be enough reason for anyone not to stay there!

  The room was clean enough but clearly this hotel has seen better days.

  Straight out of the 50s

  I love how cute and old this hotel was. It definitely could use some updates and repairs, but it was clean. Nice (short) walking path through the trees behind the hotel too.

  Clean quiet room, good value

  The important thing is that the room was clean and nice. The central staircase area needed sweeping and the carpet there needs to be replaced, but hey, for $40/night, I'm not complaining. There was also a nice trail for walking my dog a good mile.

  We have 3 dogs and limited hotels that will accept all 3. Great pet rates!

  Just ok

  Stayed one night while traveling. Older motel. Room wasn't very clean but it was late and cheap so we stayed anyway.

  Lived up to the reviews!

  This was a very nice, clean place to stop. We own two large puppies and so we appreciated the room to move around. There is a very large grassy area for walking dogs. The floors were carpeted which I am not sure is the best idea in a pet friendly room, especially since my male dog decided to christen the room shortly after we arrived! We will remember to pack our miracle spray cleaner next trip. We also had trouble in that there was only a 2nd floor room and no elevator as my husband is disabled and my big dogs are not as leash trained as I would like we struggled to keep from going end over end each time we took them for a walk. Overall, though, we had a very good stay.
