      Peak weekend

      This was our first hotel visit since Covid so we were a little unsure of what to expect. The hotel was clean and they happily accommodated us with a room on the first floor not far from the exit. There was a big fenced in area for the dogs to play and picnic benches and a fire pit out front. Room was larger than most similar hotels. Bagged breakfast was a good solution to the lack of buffet capabilities. Location was central to the hikes we wanted to do, near the highway and many good restaurants. We opted not to get housekeeping our second day to avoid additional contact so they were very accommodating with the items we needed to grab at the front desk. We would choose this location again.

      Dog Friendly

      This hotel is nothing special but the staff is very nice and its pet friendly. We brought our dog here and when I called to book the lady let me know it would be an additional 20 dollars per night. They have plenty of pet friendly rooms and on our one night stay we saw at least 6 other dogs of various sizes. Their pet agreement is very reasonable and you are able to leave pets in the room unattended and they do not need to be crated. If your dog is barking or otherwise creating a disturbance they will charge you 100 dollars. The hotel isn’t fancy and smells musty but it’s clean and safe and comfortable. Fine for a few nights but wouldn’t stay for too long. There is an indoor pool and hot tub which we did not go to so I can’t really comment on it. If we find ourselves out here again we’ll be back.
