This was my first stay because I lived in NJ for fifty years and didn't need a hotel in this area. I stayed here on the drive from Florida to Massachusetts because I was always curious about this hotel. It is a clean, safe hotel that makes a special effort to accommodate dogs. It would be difficult to find a better stopping point in NJ.

Walked in feeling the comfort of a Colorado ski lodge. It's old fashioned but not old or lacking amenities. It's been a staple of Colts Neck history for as long as I know. To allow our 2 crazy boxers to walk across the lobby hardwood floors tells me they appreciate their guests and the families they have.

We spent 4 nights here visiting area family and friends. The pet friendly room was a bit stained, but smelled fine. Bathroom with extra sink was great, plenty of towels. Bedding was ok. Very quiet, we slept well. Adequate walking area for the pups. Breakfast was sufficient. Quaint building, a bit dated.

We spent two nights here while at a dog show in Freehold. It was exceptionally close. The hotel had a nice unique sense of style and the staff was very welcoming and truly liked dogs. The room, was clearly a pet room. It was carpeted and although it did not retain any odd smells - you could see the 'accidents' which had occurred which was a little icky! Aside from that everything was clean, they offered a good little breakfast and we would certainly stay here again.

Hotel could really use some updating, but staff was great. So nice. And the restaurant is really good, with outside seating for the dogs. Staff there was wonderful. I’d definitely go back as they were very accommodating to our dogs and us!
