Place under construction. Crap everywhere in parking area. Walk in to the room and smell musty, like room hadn't been overhauled for 50 years. Old damp carpet, smelly air, dust mites everywhere.

When I arrived the office was locked, and no one answered the bell. After about 5 minutes, I was trying to call (going through the ridiculous menu of options) when the clerk arrived from outside, carrying a take-out bag of food. My "nonsmoking" room smelled of smoke. Although the sheets were crisply laundered, there was a cigarette burn in one of them. There were very noisy guests outside in the parking lot until 2 a.m. (I grant, I didn't call the management to ask for help in quieting them down; after my check-in experience, I was too tired to fight with getting through to anyone at the front desk.) The room did not look terribly clean, and overall, it was pretty run down and ratty. Red Roof Inn usually does better, but I guess they figure, in Parsippany, why bother.
