Conveniently located and a Dennys 2 minutes away waking. Would stay again.

    Convenient Location

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located next to a Denny's Restaurant and across the street from a Cracker Barrel. There was a lot of grass to walk my dog. We were very comfortable and I would stay there again.

    La Quinta Inn Albuquerque Northeast

Dog friendly. Plenty of grass area for the dogs. Right off the freeway and across the street from Cracker Barrel. But the property is quite dilapidated. The outside walkways and areas are really dirty, dirty parking lot. The building has been painted except for doors & railings. I assume they are getting to that. But it's obvious some things are painted rather than repaired/replaced. Staff moderately, not overly, helpful. The room was outdated and just didn’t feel clean because of it. Would recommend if can’t find something better.

    Clean room

The room smelled fresh and clean which has been an unusual experience in hotels in this price range. The floors appeared to be laminate which is perfect with a dog. My stay at a La Quinta inn earlier in the week was also a pleasant experience. My only complaint is the lack of area to walk my dog. It’s all concrete and asphalt. I found a couple patches of dirt to take him to. So the room was great but outside accommodations for my dog were lacking.

    Roaches and dog pee

The rooms were not updated and literally reeked of dog urine and even took a picture of a cockroach. Not recommended.

We stayed here one night as a layover. Nothing special about this place but we were comfortable and safe. I would stay here again.

    It Was OK

We arrived at the hotel on Tuesday 4/12/22 to a mess. They were painting the hotel. Being disabled it made it harder to get our stuff to and from our room. As for the breakfast, the biscuits and gravy was not hot. This hotel should have never been open while they were painting.

    La Quinta Disappoints

Our experience with other La Quinta locations was good, but this location misses the mark. Rooms have not been renovated in decades, bathroom floor was dirty and sticky. Toilet seat appears to have been repaired with epoxy. Outright replacement would have been more appropriate. Light visible around door, probably due to defects in weather stripping. Guest in adjacent room cautioned us to be careful as their car had been broken into overnight. No security.

    Nice stay

The room was clean and decent. Location was great and management was very compensating when we needed to extend our stay another night. The nice bright parking lot lights were great for midnight potty breaks for the puppy.

    Adequate Room

Nothing special for dogs other than several nice grassy areas for them. However, other owners did not pick up after their dogs. Room was clean.

    Sadly disappointed

The room was clean, and the location was good. However, for the price I would have expected to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The night before I had them in what would be considered a lower class hotel chain and it cost me over $30 less for the night.

    Decent room

Definitely not exceptional but tolerable for 2 nights. I was concerned about it smelling like dogs, but it didn’t. It was reasonably clean. BUT the microwave didn’t work, the extra safety lock on the door was broken off. Not much geography for the dogs to be on to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, it was “fine”.

    Perfectly Adequate

Room was clean and away from highway side so not too noisy. Bed was comfortable. Pillows ok. Price listed is lowest possible rate that you won't get. All and all, it was fine for one night.

    La Quinta

Best thing about this location, nothing. Upon arriving, front desk was extremely rude, thought maybe she was having a bad day?!? Gave us the end corner room right next to freeway. The room was very old. Needs to be refreshed. We were very disappointed.

    Nice place to stay

I stayed at a few different La Quinta locations. Some of them are nicer than others they are mostly decent, clean, have good customer service and allowed our dog to stay with us without any pet fee. Only thing is that some La Quinta hotels take a $75 deposit for incidentals. So long as you keep the room tidy you get your $75 deposit back. I didn’t have any problems staying their hotels. They were quiet and felt safe. For the most part the beds are comfy. The pillows are just not my cup of tea but I’m very picky about that so I wouldn’t not stay here just bc of that. Mostly good so that’s why I give 5 star rating.

    Spacious rooms

Two rooms were plenty enough room for 4 people, 2 dogs, and one cat. Convenient location to major highways. One room was overwhelmed with smell of smoke even though hotel sign advised 100% smoke-free hotel. The courtyard dedicated for dogs was not ready for dogs at all - caution tape up for grass and enormous insect population made for unpleasant walk through.

    It was ok

It was okay, we only needed a place to stay for one night, we arrived late and left early morning so considering that it was fine. I wouldn’t really stay there for longer. The downside: one of the rooms smelled like a lot of pets have peed on the carpet and they haven’t cleaned properly at all and the other one smelled like cigarettes… luckily we had bought a room deodorant (my friend’s aunt wanted it) so that helped a lot. I would say that one good thing was that the bed was surprisingly comfortable. If you need a place to stay in this area for one night it’s okay but don’t expect too much.

    Good customer service, terrible location

We arrived and were assigned a room in the back corner of the hotel. When we went to park near the room, a homeless person appeared be living in their car in one of the spots. There was lots of trash in that area. Receptionist was gracious enough to move us to a different room. When I walked my dog in the lot, there was quite a bit of traffic from people who did not appear to be guests of the hotel (i.e. circling the parking lot) making me uncomfortable. We ended up checking out around 10pm and not completing our stay. Would not advise staying here even though there was a security guard that made several trips around the hotel.

    Great location

There were patches of grass to walk the dogs on. They had poop bags and trash cans set up around the property. The bathroom area was all tile so it was a great place to feed the pups. It worked perfectly for us and our two dogs.

    Not ideal for a cat

Cats are able to get under the bed through small areas that are not closed. We had to lift up the mattress to get our cat out. Overall, not an ideal location if you have a cat.

Super loud person coughing outside of our room at late hours of the night, probably smoking. Could hear the person upstairs making phone calls late at night, as well.

    Wouldn’t recommend

We booked this hotel as our first stop in a cross country military move, and arrived at 12:40 am after a 10 hour day of driving, and were turned away due their system being down and the man working the front desk who refused to give me his name was very rude about our situation wishing us the best of luck getting a hotel somewhere else that late at night, and we have yet to receive a refund for our stay we never even used. Find somewhere else to stay; you’ll be a lot happier.

    exceptional experience

easy check-in, good stay, easy check-out. Front desk staff was friendly and professional.

I was sad to see some rude guests left dog poop in the grass, which can't make the hotel happy to see dogs arrive.

    Good location.

Linens and towels were clean which is what’s more important to me, but the bathroom could’ve been cleaner. There was a musty smell, but could just be that it’s an older hotel. Overall they didn’t charge a pet fee so it had what we needed.

    Perfect for our needs

My 2 labs and I found this Motel great for our stopover through Albuquerque. There weren’t any additional fees and plenty of room around the property to walk the dogs. They also had several plastic bag stations and garbage cans available. My room was clean, comfortable and had nice bedcovers.

    Jun. 22, 2020

The room here was clearly dated and the bathroom area wasn’t super clean, however what was extra disgusting was that we woke up to four dead cockroaches on the floor that weren’t there the night before, and two live ones that we had to stomp on. When we complained to the office they said that they do have a cockroach problem and have to shut all of the drains on the sinks and the tubs in every room because they come out of the sewers. We also saw them scurrying around the parking lot when we took our dogs out to go to the bathroom when it was dark. You have been warned!!! Stay elsewhere!!!!

    Stayed with 2 small dogs

Staff was friendly, room was well kept no mold in bathroom, staff takes pride in keeping the rooms clean and it shows. They have White linen for entire bed so I could tell it was clean. Carpet was clean, 2 chairs and a table, also had a recliner chair. Full length mirror. Dresser an closet. Plenty of space in the room. Lots of little areas with dog waste containers for the pets to relieve the selves. No breakfast served due to covid but Denny’s is in same parking lot was nice. Mall about 5 miles away and plenty of sit down restaurants to eat at or fast food options all with in 5 mile radius. Downtown approximately 10-15 miles away. Over all very pleasant stay.

    Easy to find

We stayed here one night on our way home with a dog and cat. This appeared to be more of a motel before it was a LaQuinta, so I imagine improvements are in progress. Our room was clean and quiet. Very easy to find just off I25. Jeremy at the front desk was very helpful, professional, and pleasant. Grassy area in front of hotel for walking dogs on leash was clean. Standard LaQuinta continental breakfast including waffles and biscuits and gravy. Both pets got comfortable in the room right away and we had a good night. I would stay here again.
