      Place to stay in Clovis

      The dish of disposable earplugs at the check in should have been a clue. There are frequent trains across the road from the hotel and they blow their horns the federally mandated number of times at the crossing also just across from the hotel. Having written all that, didn’t use the earplugs and really didn’t need ‘em.
      The room seems to be well insulated from outside sounds. There is adequate dog walking area around the hotel property, but didn’t have a dog poo station. Not a lot of “land mines” in the area though. Rooms are quite new and while the flooring was not laminate, the carpet was clean. A very good place to stay if your travels take you to or through Clovis.
