Clarion Inn Grand JunctionTwo generous sized dog exercise areas that were very clean. Room was quiet and clean. Carpet rather than laminate floors in the “pet friendly” room, but it too was clean. Good stop along I-70.

Good overnight stop
Best Western Plus Burley Inn & Convention CenterClean and quiet room. Easy to park car right next to the room minimizing effort needed to haul all the “dog stuff” into the room for overnight. Carpet was clean in our “pet friendly” room. A lot of grass in the courtyard of the complex for dog exercise. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Place to stay in Clovis
Sleep InnThe dish of disposable earplugs at the check in should have been a clue. There are frequent trains across the road from the hotel and they blow their horns the federally mandated number of times at the crossing also just across from the hotel. Having written all that, didn’t use the earplugs and really didn’t need ‘em.
The room seems to be well insulated from outside sounds. There is adequate dog walking area around the hotel property, but didn’t have a dog poo station. Not a lot of “land mines” in the area though. Rooms are quite new and while the flooring was not laminate, the carpet was clean. A very good place to stay if your travels take you to or through Clovis.

Dated but CLEAN
Hotel Kitsmiller on MainFor those who remember motor courts, this is a great example. Small room with a kitchenette BUT modern amenities of big screen TV and terrific queen mattress are just the right updates. Close to the activities of town (0.9 mi) but quiet enough at night even though located in Main St. Dog areas a bit down the street, but accessible. Friendly and painless check in. A great place to stay in Fredericksburg.

Candlewood Suites Pearl an IHG HotelLots of places to walk the pup. Spacious and clean room with kitchenettes and on a Saturday evening it was quite quiet. Bed mattress is a “throwback” inner spring affair, but satisfactory for one night.

Great value
Red Roof Inn WacoNot new or “refined” but all one needs for an overnight. The room was clean and had a large dog walk area in front of the hotel that had no “land mines” from previous visitors. The facility is a bit aged, paint is peeling in a few places, but a good value and there was no additional pet fee!

New hotel, great location
Best Western Plus Augusta North Inn & SuitesProperty is quite new, well maintained. Lots of dog walking areas. Dog area is relatively free of “land mines” due to responsible guests and/or attentive hotel staff. This place has easy access from I-20 and is reasonably priced.

Great front desk staff
La Quinta by Wyndham BentonvillePaula, in particular, at the front desk made us feel welcome. Unusual for dog friendly hotels, the grass and grounds around the property were clean of any deposits from previous canine visitors. A testament to the diligence of guests cleaning up after their dogs or special attention by hotel staff to clean up, but no matter why, this was particularly impressive.

A hidden surprise
The Happy HollowA time capsule of a motel. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Updated plumbing fixtures. Laminate flooring is way better than some motels with carpets that blacken your feet with unknown substances. Close to downtown, but quiet. Very friendly check in with recommendations for restaurants where your canine unit is actually welcome INSIDE the establishment.

No pet fee
Motel 6 Twin Falls IDNot much for amenities as we all know about Motel 6. The plus is there is no pet fee. Being a lower cost accommodation, it attracts a clientele sometimes that didn’t learn much about motel etiquette growing up. Pounding floors (our ceiling) and loud laughter until WAY after 2am is not a fault of the motel. All in all, a reasonable place for an overnight at a reasonable price.
