Reviews
- BobJun 5, 2022Shabby and run down
Facility is seemingly under renovation and halls were dirty, room was stark, disorganized, furniture missing. Marriott scheduled an event with loud DJ music directly below our 2nd floor room; when music finally ended after 11:30, rowdy crowds in parking area continued with yelling, revving car engines, continued for another hour. Sleep was impossible. Call to front desk resulted in staff hanging up. Grassy courtyard areas for the dog were unclean and sparse. Not worth the money and we do not recommend at all. Would have given a zero rating if available.

Great stay.
- BOBAug 13, 2021Because it is Santa Fe
We have stayed at this odd Courtyard for an overnight often. We like it. It is clean and the staff is great. Its location has very limited dog appeal, grittyish, to okay neighborhood, best in the AM. When we hit SF, we check in and get back in the car. We drive to the capitol building area, park and do the downtown river walk so the boys get a good reward. Be sure to pick up a carry dinner out from Adelita's on your way back to the hotel, dine with the pups and everyone will be happy and sleep well.
- CindyAug 4, 2021Not what Marriott used to be
Other than a bed and a small but clean bathroom I have nothing good to say. At check in the person was rushed & didn’t confirm w/me that it was a 2 night stay w/2 Queen beds. Red flag but I didn’t question it & we ended up w/2 adults & a dog in a king, (though reservation was confirmed via email for 2 Queens), when I called I was told they had sold out of “those rooms, sorry”. The place is dated and falling apart outside, lots of cracked floor tiles & peeling paint. Then there are the ridiculously squeaky floors lots of list sleep because the people above us had a galloping dog & child who must have chased the dog non-stop, loud thumping back & forth & same w/adults, not their fault. And all for $513.60 for 2 nights! Big disappointment all around.
- JanetJul 3, 2021Ok
A little run down and a very small patch of grass designated for dogs.
- MaryMay 9, 2021Close to all the fun in Santa Fe
Excellent night’s sleep, very puppy friendly, plenty of patches of grass and lots of dog friendly restaurants. We love staying at the Courtyard Marriott.
- JeremySep 29, 2020Didn’t feel the safest
The location seemed unsafe as there were many people who did not have a room there hanging out back where you would park. The Saturday night we stayed there people we yelling and screaming in the hallways and above us. The bistro had hardly any food to offer for us and our children. The dog areas were very small and then the other areas around were full of rocks where my dog wouldn’t like to walk. I will never stay there again.
- SarahAug 4, 2020Great place to stay!
My boyfriend and I did a cross country trip, and brought out dog along for the ride. This was by far one of the best pet friendly hotels to stay at. Front desk gave us bones on our arrival. And there’s a bunch of tiny court yards for your pet to go to the bathroom. Hotel rooms were super clean and updated. Will be staying again.
- BradleyJun 5, 2020Underwhelming
Had a nice courtyard area to take the dog out to but the grass had by been cut in months. Bedroom furniture was old and broken. No upkeep.
- ElizabethMar 30, 2020Great stay!
Stayed in a great first floor suite which opened directly on to a grassy courtyard! Great place for doggies!
- KimberMar 26, 2020Nice people
Was nice to stay at a hotel that takes dogs. During the covid virus the restaurant and bar were closed but the people who work there made thing pleasant for us.
- TaylorDec 4, 2019Older rooms
Our room smelled like someone smoked it in before, especially when I turned on the heat. They offered me another room but I was only staying for one night and I had already unloaded all my stuff. They didn’t offer a discount or anything else. It was $50 extra for my dogs which was excessive. The grassy area was fantastic though! There was some poop that previous dogs left. The lobby looks new but the rooms aren’t and are definitely dated. There is tile on the main floor so whenever a guest or housekeeper is rolling a bag or something, it is extremely loud and you can hear each one in your room. I couldn’t wait to leave this place. I wouldn’t stay at the hotel again.
- PatMore than a year agogood value
Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed. Room was nice, especially on back side with view of sunset. Multiple grassy spots for dog stops in the courtyards. Breakfast was order by menu in restaurant, included. Pool was warm. Convenient to getting to old town. Friendly staff.
- AnnaMar 4, 2018Incredibly dog friendly, can poop conveniently
They were so friendly and greeted my pooch at the reception. We felt at home. Also, the inner courtyard is available for doggie bathroom breaks, with bags and trash bin as well. Couldn't ask for anything more.
