  Terrible experience

  I wish I had read the reviews from Google. The rooms open out into the parking lot. The noise from people coming, going and loitering throughout the night was awful. I was anxious and so were the dogs. They have no designated relief area for the dogs. I was told to go to the vacant lot across the street. I was in such a hurry to leave I left things in the fridge that I am very sorry to not have now. I intend to also share my feelings with Wyndham Corporate.

  Not very nice or clean

  Wifi was out. No soap in our room. Very run down. There were hairs and some trash on the floor in our bathroom upon arrival. Would not stay here again.

  Clean room, fast check-in and out. I do wish they had some grass for the pets, but overall great stay!

  Stay away!

  I actually refused to stay in this hotel when I learned that they had not had WIFI for months and neglected to mention it when we booked a room for two days. They were actually going to keep one of my two nights payment until BringFido went to bat for me and got me my full refund. Read the other reviews for this place and you will not make the mistake of booking here.

  Great for dogs!

  The fact that dogs are allowed to stay in the rooms by themselves and that the rooms are super soundproofed (we stayed for a week and NEVER heard a sound through the walls!) made this perfect for us. There are places for the dogs to relieve themselves right outside the first floor rooms, and another space across the parking lot that was still close. Everyone who worked here was friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to come again.

  Didn't feel safe

  The front desk employee seemed impatient and provided false information about availability of carts to facilitate moving the luggage (none were available). No wifi was available and no info was provided about when it would be restored. The pool was drained, dirty and obviously closed - I am currently at a La Quinta in Flagstaff that has a functional, operating pool. Oddly enough the mirror in the room was blocked by the fridge and microwave. The rooms are dated and not well maintained which is applicable to the entire complex. No breakfast (10% discount at the diner close by). However, the room was clean (kudos to Maria).

  It was clean!

  It was tough but at least it was clean. No pool, no WiFi, no real place for the pups. But I can say we slept like a pack of wolves and the staff are an absolute delight. 4 bones even so

  Super well-kept motel

  The motel by which most should be judged. Really well kept and classy property for being a motel. Decent location. Everything a little higher $ in Santa Fe but honestly once we were in the room it exceeded most similar priced hotels. Great for dogs. Could use some more grass perhaps in the dog area. A few too many rocks and gravel.

  Great location!

  They were very accommodating, hotel is located near shopping and restaurants, about 5 miles to the plaza in Santa Fe. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, cereals, even warm waffles! Daisy our little pup slept soundly. Room was clean and air conditioner was nice and cool. Would go back again for sure.

  Great hotel, not much doggie love

  The hotel was fine, and in a decent location. There was very little grass near the hotel for my dog to go to the bathroom. The nearest was around the corner at the mall. There were plenty of food options nearby, so that was nice.

  Room change made all the difference

  When we arrived, the room was on the second floor and smelled horribly of stale smoke. Called the front desk and they were very accommodating. Not only moved up to another room, but put us on the first floor. Our dog was 13 1/2 years old and the stairs were hard for him.

  Friendly Staff

  The La Quinta property is not as nearly as nice as the other three La Quintas we stayed at. I booked without researching assuming there would be a standard. Not so the pool was closed as in green water and landlocked, the parking lot had weeds growing in the cracks. The potty spots for doggy had red ants and puncture vine. The friendliness of the staff was the only thing that made this property tolerable.

  We stayed at this La Quinta Inn 7/16 for one night. Checking in was great and greeted with a smile. The room itself was adequate, clean, and quiet. We were in a room next to the pool which was missing about 3 feet of water and green with algae. It reminded us of National Lampoon’s Vacation. There was no proper area for my dog to relieve itself, no grass or designated spot. The grounds seemed dirty and unkempt. Even though the room was quiet, I had a hard time sleeping with the concern of my vehicle being broken into or stolen. The area just didn’t feel safe next to an expansive empty Hobby Lobby parking lot. At this price point, they need to step it up.

  Okay place to stay

  We stayed here a couple of nights as a layover on our trip out west. No frills at this place but staff was nice and my 150 lb mastiff was comfortable. Only downside is they put us on the 2nd floor but we managed. I would stay here again.

  Clean, comfortable room

  The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and check-in easy. The location didn’t appear to be in the safest area and we woke up to a drunk couple arguing and slamming doors at midnight. I know the hotel has no control over people staying there though. Lots of traffic noise and only tiny relief areas for the dogs. The one area was by a retaining wall with a large drop off to the street below. It was adequate for a quick night's sleep though.

  Clean Room

  Hotel exterior looked a bit run down but the room seemed updated and it was clean (even smelled clean) which we appreciated. My cats seemed to enjoy the room so would stay again if I had pets and needed a place to stay with them. Receptionist was super friendly and nice.

  Loud cars all night long, very dated rooms, not particularly clean and staff was not very friendly. Would not stay there again.

  The service was great! Friendly and courteous. The room was clean and nice. The room felt like it was just waiting for us to arrive. Nice location. Dog friendly. Will stay again.

  Good location

  This was our second visit to this location. Very friendly and helpful checking in. Several places to walk your dog and bags/trash for their little or not so little gifts. Walking distance to restaurants and a mall. Will stay there again.

  Poor Quality

  The room was not very clean, and none of the plumbing in the bathroom worked. The only options were to switch rooms to the other side of the hotel or not go to the bathroom while we were there.

  Great location

  Easy en route to Boulder. Disappointed about pool and fitness being closed. A little noisy but that is to be expected with all the doggies!! Enjoyed our one night stay.

  Puppy loved, hotel bleh!

  The staff was great at taking care of our needs with regard to our greyhound. I like that while we were at the opera we were allowed to leave him in the room (he loves his crate so he’s good on his own in there). There is no grass in the dog relieving areas (it’s Santa Fe, after all), so my pup got used to it after looking at me a few times, seemingly asking, “is it ok for me to poop here?” The hotel for humans is only average at best. I wish they would do more regular maintenance (just a few items on the room’s checklist), and encourage smokers to respect non smokers by not being right by nonsmoking rooms and smoke coming in through HVAC. An ok stay!

  Dog friendly

  Reservation was on the 1st floor next to the dog relief area. Room was large and comfortable. Check-in was prompt and friendly. There is no grass in Santa Fe, just landscape gravel.

  3rd floor with dogs?!?

  Aside from being put on the third floor the stay was fine. But imagine your 14 year old doggo needing to potty and her old bones have to shuffle down 3 flights of stairs.

  Lots of Dogs There

  They had poo bags available & dog friendly rooms. No grass anywhere around....only rock gardens, but that's actually pretty common for Santa Fe. I felt reasonably safe here & could walk over to the shopping area behind the hotel. The hotel is pretty old with no mini-fridge but certainly adequate. I would stay there again.

  Location doesn't seem to be the greatest but it was workable

  Place reminds me of a repurposed motel. The doors being outside is a plus and a minus. Our dogs could hear more and barked a bit more than other hotels. The dog run area is pretty large and has grass which is a plus but there was a used syringe on the ground. It doesn't seem to be the safest but we had no issues while staying. I would look for other options but if I had none, I'd stay here again in a pinch.

  Comfy beds, recently refurbished rooms. Pool looked so great but still closed due to COVID. No fridge or mic in room , nice grab n go breakfast (Covid again).

  Great Location, Clean Room, Affordable

  Context: Stayed one night on my way through town, have one pup.

  Location (5/5): Pretty much shares a parking lot with a shopping plaza, so you can walk there and check it out if you're bored. Plus, at the far side of the plaza is a dog park and walking trail entrance. Right off a main road.

  Room (5/5): Clean room, clean bathroom, great water pressure, comfortable bed.

  Pup Relief Area (3.5/5): A bit of debris/trash/poop in the area. They do provide poop bags and a trash can. Alternatively, a dog park is just on the far side of the shopping center parking lot.

  Would happily stay here again

  My pups and I enjoyed our stay so much. I didn’t catch her name but the lady at the front desk was beyond amazing. Super accommodating to my puppies. The pet relief areas we’re clean! On rocks, but clean!

  Very simple room. Fine for the dogs. Our door was kinda warped so you could see sunlight at the bottom and bugs were able to get in. No grass here, just bark and lava rock. But it was clean enough and no pet fee so it was fine for a night.

  Good night stay

  We recently stayed at La Quinta Santa Fe and always relax a bit more when we stay att any La Quinta Inn. No extra dog fee, poop bags available and lots of pillows. Will stay here again!

  Older hotel, but very adequate

  Hotel in on main road but rather tricky to get into!! Very busy area next to shopping mall/restaurants but minimal noise. Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff very pleasant...quick and easy check in.

  Worse Each Time

  I usually stop here on the way to my daughter’s in Colorado. Lately, although I ask for a downstairs room (I am older and cannot handle stairs and suitcases as well as wanting downstairs for dog.) I am told they only have upstairs left or for another few I can get a downstairs. Then this time it was inside so I couldn’t see my car so had to lug more stuff in. The dog area has rocks and broken glass I will post a picture of my yucky door mat. This May be the final straw for La Quinta. They also messed up my La Quinta/ Wyndom Hill card. After a long drive I don’t need this.
