    Very dog friendly

Lots of grass and green space to walk my dog. Our room was on the first floor and very close to the exit so it made getting in and out of the hotel uncomplicated. Would definitely stay here again.

    Dog allowed with boundaries

The hotel was ok overall. No amenities offered that indicated dog was especially welcomed. Room seemed worn and could use updates. It was reasonably convenient to Santa Fe plaza area. Amenity fee on top of pet fee not appreciated for amenities received.

    Good spot

Nice, if dated, facility. Good dog-walking support. Close to the awesome Frank Ortiz dog park. Not all amenities advertised are currently available. No shuttle or on-site restaurant. Staff members were great!

    Great place!

They are very accommodating. When we checked in and they verified we had a dog with us, they moved us to a room that was easier for us to access. The room was clean and spacious enough. No refrigerator or microwave. There were nice grassy spaces to walk the dog. They were also very helpful in finding us restaurants that were close by that allowed dogs.

    Excellent value, dog friendly!

The Lodge at Santa Fe was absolutely ideal for traveling with a new puppy. We had a gorgeous suite with a balcony and an excellent view. Most ideal - easy access to the outside for a potty training puppy! Great great location and value.

    Nice hotel

The Lodge at Santa Fe was a nice place to stay while driving cross country. Very homey, friendly front desk (Victoria) and a nice CLEAN lawn to take the puppy. Would stay there again.

    Good location

Nice place, but no restaurant/bar which wasn't made clear. Would be a very nice place to stay if restaurant was open and hotel was staffed adequately.

    Was ok

We stayed in one of the large rooms. It was ok. The TV was maybe 24”. Not that I require a big tv, just have never seen a tv that small before. The floors feel soft in spots and needs to be replaced, and the overall condition of the room was a bit dated. The “open year round” pool and hot tub was closed. The restaurant there was closed, because “Covid” ::rolls eyes:: I just don’t buy the whole Covid excuse, I think people are really exploiting the ol Covid excuse. Just lazy imo. I wouldn’t stay there again with as many options as there are.

Good hotel at a good price, close to awesome dog park

Loved our stay here...the room was clean and comfortable and there was a decent area around the back to take care of doggie business. Didn’t see any bags supplied, I always bring my own but apparently some people don’t there were several poops there that weren’t picked up. C’mon you guys you ruin it for all of us! This hotel is only 5 minutes from an awesome off leash dog park/hiking trail area which we enjoyed very much.

    Beautiful southwestern inspired hotel

Everything was great for us. The bed was so comfortable. For our pup...too many stairs.

dog friendly except for missing poop bags

We found the staff and guests to be very dog-friendly, and our Grace loved the treats they provided with the room. However, during our two-night stay, the stations for depositing poop bags had no bags. We had our own bags, but clearly other guests did not. There were areas that had a lot of poop piles.

Also, be careful about the astroturf 'grass' in the central courtyard. Not the place to let your dog relieve himself or herself. On a hot day in the afternoon, it might burn your dog's feet.

It's lovely place to stay and convenient to area shopping.

    Great experience

I forgot to mention that dogs are allowed on the free shuttle! Danny and Lorenzo were both great with our pups!

    Great experience

We stayed three nights at The Lodge at Santa Fe in mid-July 2017 (2 people and 2 dogs). The hotel is located on a hill overlooking Santa Fe and the Sangre de Cristo Mtns. The room was clean, spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds and an updated bathroom. The staff was very dog-friendly. The free shuttle service was prompt and the drivers (Danny and Lorenzo) were friendly and offered helpful tips for our Santa Fe visit.
