  Dog area

  The bed was very comfortable but I was disappointed in the dog relief areas. They were all small artificial turf areas and many guests did not pick up after their dogs. I didn't have to worry because my dogs poop on artificial turf. It was a problem. We had to drive to find some grass.

  Older, dog friendly hotel

  This is most definitely an older hotel. It was clean and great for an overnight stay on a road trip. They are pet friendly, there were many people with dogs which was nice! They have designated potty areas with artificial grass for them to use.

  Very dog friendly for our big girl, Annie. So clean, what a nice surprise in a small town. Breakfast was perfect on our way back on the road.

  Very Friendly

  All the rooms are ground floor! Nice, clean room with good amenities. Room to walk the pups, but load them up and go down to the Blue Hole down the street. The staff was very friendly.

  No real green space

  This place was great in that all rooms are ground level set in the old school style layout. We could park right in front of the room, which was clean and comfy. There are a few places marked for pets with fake grass. Unfortunately my pup won’t go to the bathroom in fake grass. I had to walk her down the street to the Hampton Inn’s front lawn. It wasn’t ideal for walking dogs. My dog got several stickers in her paws after walking in grass/dirt areas (not the area in front of H.I.) If I didn’t have a picky dog, I would stay here again for sure.

  Renovated Motel

  Perfect for the dogs. All rooms are on the ground floor and the door was directly to the outside. The room was clean and tidy. The motel looked like it had been recently updated.

  Cute Motel

  You park your car in front of your room, which is convenient when you have a cat. There was also trailer parking, so we could put our u-haul there without hassle. The free breakfast was pretty decent with an assortment of eggs, pancakes, breads, cereal, fruit, bacon, etc.

  Our room was spacious, new and comfortable! We parked right outside our door. The well lit dog walking area was super handy and safe! We had a great visit!

  Amazing motel

  One of the nicest motels I’ve ever stayed in. The beds were exceptionally nice and cozy, reminded me of Hilton beds. Room was very clean and parking was great. We felt very safe here. Also, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Free breakfast too. Definitely recommend.

  Arguing and poop strewn

  Argued that my reservation wasn't for a pet-friendly room because it wasn't explicitly stated. Also, pet walk was more poop than walk and bag dispensers were empty.

  Good Little Spot

  I like this hotel. I've tried staying in other hotels in the area, and just don't like them. The hotel is older, but they keep the rooms up. I love that you park right outside your door and the rooms are all on the first floor. They also have a walking area to walk your dogs that they put down fake grass and poop bags. You can also walk your pet around the hotel with other fake grass areas. The problem with this area and all the other hotels is the sticker plants. None of the other hotels provide a specific ground type to walk your dogs. So every step your poor dog walks, they get stuck with these horrible stickers you have to pull out of their pads. Like I said, the hotel is a little older, but for the sake of my pets, and the room to walk them, I really like this hotel. The breakfast is not that great, and the room is VERY small, but there are fast food places you can go if you don't like what the hotel serves. Pet fee is decent price.

  Great place

  Perfect road trip hotel. Clean rooms, like little bungalows. I parked right in front of my room which meant loading and uploading the car was so much easier. The pool is great and it’s close to some good restaurants. Staff was nice, helpful, and informative!

  Truly Best Out of Many

  The first time from CA to AR, we stayed in some shabby hotels. Twice we used our own sheets. On our second road trip, we chose only Best Western. Large dog friendly and perfect. The non carpeted floor was a great idea. This BW was super clean and had all the right amenities for us and our dogs. Many dog areas with dirt/grass or fake grass or rocks for your dogs preference. Great location situated next to an open field and a vacant building and lot next door. Far superior to many “no dogs allowed“ inns. I will always choose Best Westerns with or without my dog.

  We’ve stayed in a few Santa Rosa hotels over the past few years and this is our favorite. Nice walking area nearby and good facilities with friendly competent staff. Hot breakfast and easy walk to a nice diner.

  Clean Property

  Clean property. Free hot breakfast. Green areas and bags for pets. Parking lot is asphalt. Good for walking in cooler weather. Your car is parked right in front of your room. Easy loading and unloading. Comfortable beds. Nice size rooms. Heater worked great. Will stay again.

  Trying hard

  Santa Rosa is more of a truck stop than a tourist attraction. There are no lush dog parks or walks. Despite this, the motel tries hard to accommodate travelers with dogs. The rooms are quite large, comfortable and recently modernized. The bathroom has also been updated and was very clean. Beds and pillows looked new and were very comfortable — no hard foam pillows. There are small potty areas at the back, each with Astro turf, poop bags and disposal bins. All rooms open directly on to the well-lit car park, making it very easy to roll up and unload all your stuff. The area felt safe and we were able to walk 5 minutes to a nearby Mexican restaurant. The cooked breakfast buffet was available in a small but clean and attractive area next to the office. All of the staff, from front desk to cleaners, were welcoming and helpful. For a quick overnight stay on a long transcontinental trip, this worked perfectly for us.

  The room was good with lots of bare floor for my Bernese to lay down. There was a pet relief area - a mix of rock and artificial turf - and it was good that we had a room near the back of the hotel to stay.

  Great room, fun location and don’t miss The Silver Moon Cafe! Unfortunately, we can’t rate for a dog spot because we lost our pup before this journey.

  A mix of old timey and modern

  This hotel is like the old fashion motels with just one story and you park your car right in front of your room. Once inside, it was modern and spacious. Very dog friendly with good size patches of artificial turf for our dog to relieve herself. The only problem was that the outside temperature was close to 100 degrees. The turf and pavement were too hot for our dog to walk on. I found some shade under a tree that had medium-sized smooth rocks, she was able to do her business there. There were lots of other dogs there, so a few barks here or there didn't disturb anyone. If you happen to stop in Santa Rosa stay at the Best Western, and eat dinner at the Silver Moon Café! My husband had Nachos. They were loaded with chips, cheese, Pico de Gallo, pinto beans, and beef. I had the Green Chili Stew with a side of pozole and pinto beans. Outstanding! And since we had our dog, we got our order to go. It was packaged up nicely and still hot when we got back to our room.

  Great stop on the road

  I would have given 5 bones but I am just not sure why a roadside Best Western costs $168. Still seems high. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and functional. Smiley slept like a puppy. There were even a few nice parks in short driving distance for Smiley to get in some exercise.

  No dogs on furniture

  The checkin was fast and efficient. This was a perfect set up for dogs because parking is right outside of the door so it was easy to unload the dog and crate. The floors were laminate instead of rugs which I think all hotels should be! There were designated potty areas with astroturf so we didn’t have to worry about burrs and foxtails. The main thing that kept this from being 5 bones is that their list of rules include no dogs on beds or furniture or in common areas. So that was a little restrict for how things are in our house.

  Highly Recommend

  Hi Everyone, I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Santa Rosa with your pet(s). Designated rooms with hardwood flooring for those here with their pets. And adjacent to a small pet waste area. I stayed here for 3 days when stuck in a winter ice storm in October (yes, October). I was only planning on staying one day, but extended to three when travel became unsafe. Staff could not have been nicer. Free juice and coffee in the lobby. You park your car right outside the door which makes it super easy to load and unload with the critters. Great diner .3 miles up the road. My husky (Koda) got to play in snow for two days at this cute hotel. Rooms were very very clean, and the staff always asked if I needed extras. If I had to be stuck in the snow off the I-40 in Santa Rosa, this is the place.

  This was a perfect stop fir my wife and I and our furry children. Our room was large, well built, clean and quiet. We will return in the future in our migrations between Virginia and Tucson, AZ.

  Nice Option

  Traveling/relocating across country with 2dogs and a cat. Hotel was accommodating to both. Room was clean and bedding comfortable after a long drive. The pet area was a little small, with only a few small ‘grass’ spots but fulfilled its purpose.

  What a nice clean hotel

  The mattress was comfortable, the staff friendly and welcoming. I love the little ranch style best westerns. The staff was wonderful explaining their cleaning methods due to COVID.

  Very Nice Hotel Good For The Oups

  This was a great hotel clean and well taken care of. Hot breakfast, green turf plots for dogs. We took our two on the dirt road in the back and that worked perfect. Be careful of cactus off the road though . Our dogs don’t understand artificial turf so this worked better for us and walking them. The floors are laminate wood which our Goldendoodle loves to lie on instead of carpet. Recommend to stay here!

  Great place to stop

  Conveniently located - easy on and off highway. Warm and welcoming reception. Very clean room - modern and complete with amenities. A little challenging for our dog who only likes to do her business on grass - they have a doggie area of small blocks of artificial turf. The road has a sidewalk but grassy areas are scarce.... Otherwise a comfortable night was spent at this location.

  Great stay!

  We stayed here on the way from California to the East Coast. We liked it so much we made a point of staying again on our way back. Very clean, decor is pleasant. And our second room was even nicer than the first! We love that hotels are taking out their carpeting and replacing with tile or wood laminate. Both stays we were able to get a parking spot right in front of our room, making unloading and loading very easy. All rooms are on the first floor, so that was great. There was a "fake grass" area for the dog. The Inn does fill up fast, so make reservations.
