  Up on the hill gives private resort feel - level parking. We had an accessible room on the first floor - definitely recommend. Good breakfast, nice dog walk area. Helpful front desk staff. Will definitely stay again.

  Comfortable!

  The bed had a nice topper on it. Sheets, pillows, and towels were above average. I slept really well after having driven 650 miles. It was quiet. Front desk attendant was okay. I didn’t eat breakfast there, but I saw that they had sausage & Belgian waffles. Coffee was good. They also provided good quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap all from Dove. They also had a makeup remover towelette in the vanity area. The room was very clean and everything in good working order. The air conditioner worked perfectly and I stayed nice and cool all night. I paid more than I usually do for a one night stop but when you sleep well—it’s SO worth it.

  Recently remodeled La Quinta with above average dog/pet friendly amenities. Thankfully ample size well maintained grassy dog area on property. McDonalds across the street open late. Good parking lot lighting and ample spaces.

  Location not so good

  The hotel seemed newer and nice, the staff were friendly and even let us check in early, and there were rock and grass areas for the dogs. The area is kind of remote, there’s not much around the hotel, and there are some dilapidated, closed businesses. There was a good Mexican restaurant across the street, but other than a McDonalds that was about it. Okay for a quick overnight stop.

  This place looked updated and fairly new in photos, however it was in the process of updating. Our cards did not work, door handle works opposite of the way they should which makes it very difficult to open when holding items or if you have severe arthritis. After we got settled it started to rain and water came in around the window. Went to the office and staff said they’re trying to figure out which ones leaked. We were moved to another room which had the same issue. After a long road trip you don’t want to repack and move to another room to have the same problem. I told the office but said we aren’t moving again. No apology or some form of compensation. On a good note, the room was nice with very comfortable mattress. We won’t stay here again.

  Santa Rosa was a wonderful surprise!

  Although they are still renovating the entrance, the rooms were large and clean. The grounds were delightful and the staff was friendly. Lots of dogs stayed here. We will stay again the next time through!

  Good breakfast, clean updated room. The reception guy could've been more professional; he was on his cellphone talking about smoking weed and totally forgot he was doing something else. But overall it was good.

  This hotel has had a complete remodel of all guest rooms and public spaces. Its location on Old Route 66 is convenient to the Interstate, but semi-isolated enough to avoid noise but within walking distance of only one restaurant (across the street). This is a great choice if your travel plans include Santa Rosa for an overnight stay with your canine family member(s).

  Nice clean rooms, newly renovated with comfy beds and no carpet. Very clean and wonderful staff. Decent breakfast and good coffee! Grass area for pets with poop bags/garbage can. Nicest spot we’ve found so far on our way to AZ from Toronto.

  Nice but I hate the bathroom

  Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel is currently being renovated, so the halls are torn up. Our room was like new, which we enjoyed. However, they have installed a sliding barn door as the bathroom door. Sorry, but I hate this ridiculous new style. I would like some privacy in the bathroom. The worst part is that my dogs can slide the door open at any time! There is a grass area for dogs, but it's small and my dogs hated it. Must be overused. There is no place to take a walk without driving. Drove to Joe Gutierrez park: a great fenced-in park, but no water and bathroom is locked. The best part was that we ate at Chico’s Tortas across the street. Fantastic food with a patio for the dogs. Sadly no alcohol- we were dreaming of a margarita after a long day.

  La n Quinta Inn Santa Rosa

  La Quinta Santa Rosa was a wonderful experience going through BringFido. The hotel contacted me to ask what floor I would prefer and if there was anything I needed before I got there. Definitely recommend using BringFido when traveling with your pets.

  The facility was undergoing renovations. The breakfast was a to-go bag filled with items I don’t/can’t eat and the dog potty area was a joke. However, the rooms was big and clean and the staff was very friendly.

  Very dog friendly!

  Loved this hotel because it was SO dog friendly. Even gave us some dog treats when we checked in! There are lots of pups around and we were surprised at how much we didn’t really hear any of them. A few times our dog heard them walking down the halls and sounded his alarm but otherwise it was a quiet stay! They're in the process of remodeling so there’s some old with the new but all in all it’s a great stay! Good breakfast, hot tub, pool and gym for the humans. Oh and if you do stay there go to Chicos which is right down the road, amazing food and you won’t regret it!

  Glad It Was A Short Stay

  A total 70’s hotel. The TV’s didn’t work, the shampoo was stale, the room was industrial dank. I could go on but it gave New Mexico a bad name and that’s saying something. Avoid if possible.

  Not really worth the price

  It is older and showing some signs of wear even tho they have replaced the vanity with a backlit mirror. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very little insulation as doors banged and folks were in the hall late into the night. Asked the front desk clerk for a receipt upon departure and he told me no. Said I would have to get it from Booking. I booked this room thru BringFido. What is up with this?

  Good location off interstate, easy access. Super pet walking area with grass and pet waste station. Terrific Mexican restaurant Chico's 5 minute walk away. We and our two little dogs had a great stay.

  This was ok, friendly, parking was a challenge especially since we got in late and had a trailer. Rooms are dated and small. It was small for 3 dogs and a cat.

  Old Hotel

  The staff was very friendly.
  The room was stuffy. I tried to turn on fan, but it wouldn’t work. I tried to open the window and it would only open a crack. This had to be a violation of fire code.
  I had taken my shoes off and later looked at my feet and they were black. When my husband got into the shower, his feet turned the bottom of the shower dirty. Meaning, the floors were filthy.
  The bed and pillows were very comfy.
  There was a nice grassy area for our puppy.

  This a terrific spot to stay on a cross country trip. Clean. Safe. Easily accessible to the freeway. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. And no problems at all for the pooch.

  Stuck in Santa Rosa

  We were Stuck for 3 nights due to bad winter storm. Hotel staff very friendly, convenient for our pups, BUT cleaning staff wore same gloves to clean each room and face mask wasn’t on or wasn’t covering noses. I asked for Lysol in a can and the front desk couldn’t provide it. This is Covid times and cleaning precautions should be 100%. Just my opinion! I personally witnessed this cleaning process that the staff was doing.

  We got in last night around 9 pm and got the dogs settled. We took showers and when my head hit that pillow in that oh so comfortable bed I was out like a light. Thanks for a great stay and an even better night sleep!!

  Easy Peasy stopover on our move...

  We moved from Nevada to Texas and have been La Quinta hopping across the country with our two dogs. This La Quinta was just fine...your typical La Quinta, but definitely clean and easily accessible. But parking areas for trucks and/or trailers and an EXCELLENT taco shop called “Chico’s” right across the street. Large dog walking area out front which was really nice. The front desk person was super friendly. We would definitely stay here again if passing through!

  This hotel is located on a hill right off of the freeway. Friendly, helpful service. Front desk recommended Joseph's Bar & Grill for authentic New Mexican food; excellent recommendation! And my pets were happy with their home-away-from-home.

  This hotel is probably the best in town for you and your dog. They were nice; there are a number of dogs staying there; there is a small (small) green patch where pets can do their business but not a lot of room for exercise. You'll have to drive a bit for a park.

  We always loved this hotel but this year it wasn't the same. The room was doing and run down looking and the floors were filthy. The employees were all very nice and polite and the dog area was kept up and clean but we were disappointed in the room.

  We stopped here on our way out west. This hotel has no frills but it was very clean and the staff was nice. The free breakfast is a plus. There is not much grass for the dogs but hotel specific as I don’t think there is much grass in the area. I would stay here again.

  If you're going west this is a great location if you don't want to drive the 90 min to Albuquerque.
  Rule #1: you get what you pay for in hotels. Great value for the $$ here and they didn't charge a pet fee (contrary to BringFido's review). Great Breakfast. Try Joseph's Bar and Grill just down the street. They have lettuce wraps which are awesome. Draft beer was warm but bottled beer was wonderful. 1 pet area only on the far right side of the hotel and actually had bags. Pet owners pick up you dog's poop please (you give responsible pet owners a bad rep when you leave crap in the pet area).

  2 downers for this hotel: Internet reception was poor (and the staff didn't seem to care) and some rooms have no view. I looked at a wall and a exit walkway through my window. However, when you're beat from the road this was a good hotel.

  Great Stay! Wonderful Staff!

  Love it here! So pretty. It’s on top of the hill so there’s beautiful views. Good place to walk your pup to go potty. Just a short distance from the Blue Hole which is pretty neat!
  We got an executive suite with our 2 pups and it was very comfortable! Highly recommended!
