Okay place, very chic. The room was dirty, and the toilet needed cleaning.

$75 pet fee high for my 8 lb dog. When I got to my room it didn’t look like they vacuumed the floor. It had dirt on the floor, dust on surfaces and dog hair in the corners and under the desk. There wasn’t even a microwave in the room. We debated complaining to the front desk but because they were full and we were tired from driving we decided not to. We wore our shoes in the room and were in bed early. The good things about the hotel, it had a great shower and clean linens. We won’t stop there again.

Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and fussed over our dog. The only reason I didn't give 5 bones was there was no lighting at the front of the hotel which made it very dark to walk your dog.

Tru hotels seem like they were designed by college kids. Convenient, no frills but perfect for pet families.

Traveling with our small dogs for 1st time and it went well. Hotel was clean and convenient location. Would definitely stay here again.

Be careful to also call the hotel directly if you must change your arrival date. BringFido changed their internal records of the change of my arrival date, but they never advised the hotel. The hotel then treated me as a no-show on my original arrival date. The following day when I actually arrived, I learned that the hotel charged my credit card for the full cost of the room, and that I did not have a room reserved at my actual date of arrival. The hotel did find that they had a room available, and set me up. What I have learned from this experience is to call the hotel directly in advance when making changes to an arrival date. Do not assume that the reservation agent (BringFido) will follow through with that task. In my case, it is expected that the hotel may take 7 to 15 days to refund my account for the charges from my “no-show”. In all other respects, I found Tru Hotel to be a fully acceptable lodging when traveling with my pet. While very simple accommodations, it was clean, easy and convenient, particularly when you don’t change your date of arrival from the original reservation.

Stayed here on our way to Florida and it was great. Excellent staff. Quiet room. Nice breakfast on site and lots of restaurants nearby. Although not large, there were grassy areas for our fur baby. Even better, they didn’t charge a pet fee. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at a Tru hotel in Virginia before and loved the experience for ourselves and our puppy. So we sought them out again on our trip to Charlotte and were lucky enough to find one just north in Mooresville. The staff was exceptionally friendly, just as they were at the other Tru hotel. The hotel layout and rules were the same, which was nice and familiar. My only complaint with this one was that they didn't offer any gluten-free bread or bagel options at breakfast, like the one in Lynchburg did. When I asked the staff about that they informed me that not all Tru hotels are owned by Hilton, but can be franchised. This one happens to be owned by the same local company that also owns the Aloft hotel next to it and a couple of other hotels in the area. So, while they have to abide by most of the same rules, they have some flexibility in some areas, including the food. Therefore, my only request by franchised Tru hotels would be to please carry some gluten-free bread options for breakfast for those of us who need/want it. Otherwise, fantastic stay and we'll definitely be back again the next time we're in the area.
