    Needs Work

This property was having several maintenance issues. 1st floor hallway had buckets on the floor and water dripping. Our room was fine as far a sleeping, but the bath really needed help everything pretty banged up and the tub either needs reglazing or a good scrubbing I couldn't decide which so didn't use it. They do have a small grass are for dogs with bags provided. That said, the back door near that area was not working so to get back into the building you need to walk around to the front. Not good on cement or asphalt for a dog in 110°+ temperatures. The morning continental breakfast was decent (small portions of pre-packaged yogurt, muffins & juice)

    Comfortable and spacious

Great spot for a stopover heading up north just outside Vegas proper. Not a lot of space tho for doggie relaxation (tiny patch of grass front and back) and pavement super hot in the summer. Would like a little more area to let pups walk, relieve themselves. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and staff was friendly and accommodating.

    Great location, spacious rooms

Great place to stay with our dog. It was nice having the kitchenette for feeding our girl and the water was usable too. Also a great, quiet location. Not a lot of area to walk the dog, but there are parks nearby. Wonderful staff, clean room... happy dog!

    Clean and friendly

Hotel was very clean, easy to navigate. Staff were extremely friendly. Doggie area could have been cleaner. Sad that people don’t pick up, even tho the hotel provides plastic bags.

    Okay

The stay was okay but seemed like people were walking up and down all night and the laminate floor was filthy. We're staying there again but if I had options it wouldn't be my first choice.

    Quiet and comfortable

Our stay here worked out well. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. This was only my 2nd stay at a dog-friendly hotel, and my main concern was that there were a LOT of dog droppings all over the areas outside where I walked my dog. I found just one small area of grass that seemed to get cleaned up, but otherwise I had to watch my step. There were bags available to use, but apparently the majority of owners are inconsiderate and don’t use them, thus creating a disgusting and unsanitary situation. This was the case at both of the hotels I stayed in.

    Fabulous Experience!!

The property was beautiful and perfect for pets. The hotel front desk staff couldn't have been more wonderful!!! I was moving from CO to NV and they let me check out way late due to delays with my movers. Couldn't be happier with either the hotel or the staff - thank you soooo much!!

    Spacious room!

The hotel appeared to be relatively new, the location was close to many restaurants, markets, gas stations, and entrance to highway nearby, check-in and check-out were handled expeditiously and in a friendly manner, the room was surprisingly pleasant resembling a spacious, modern studio apartment that included all typical hotel accoutrements, the breakfast buffet was clean, well-stocked, and services by a very nice attendant, outdoor spaces for pet relief were clean and offered litter bags and a garbage can nearby, luggage carts available; great stay!

Good hotel for got dog owners

Plenty of areas around the hotel, and neighboring properties, for your dog to do their business. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    Issues

We stayed here for 12 days with our jack Russell and our cat when we moved to Las Vegas and our home wasn’t ready to be moved into.

First thing that must be noted. You are not allowed to leave pets alone for any amount of time in the room. This is in the contract you sign. We’ve stayed in 20+ La Quinta properties with our pets and never had this problem. Even if you got outside your door for a cigarette you must take your pet. Our room neighbors were asked to leave when they left their dog to go to the pool.

They have poop stations and a few small spots of grass. Please do not walk your pet across the dark parking lot unless you are carrying them. The lot gets very hot and is not even touchable by the human hand for longer than a few seconds even when it was 85 out.

Lower floor (which we requested as it’s more convenient with a dog) do not have baths in the bathroom, only showers. Which made it impossible to bathe our dog for 12 days.

Pool area is of course off limits to animals, as is the garden area near the pool.

All 12 days we were there people openly smoked marijuana at the pool and behind the pool house. Although legal in Nevada, it is illegal to consume in public. Absolutely horrible when small children are in the pool. Reported to staff countless times and nothing was done. Every trash can on the property was over flowing with marijuana packaging and liquor bottles the entire time we were there. The dog waste stations were also full of marijuana packages.

The first two days we were there we couldn’t leave because someone double parked behind our car (horizontally behind our car in a vertical spot) and the staff did nothing to get them to move. After sitting outside almost two days straight we discovered it was a worker in the medical facility next door.

Overall it’s an okay property for pets, but not the greatest for pets or families. It would be a last option for me.

    Very Clean

Stayed here March 9-11, 2018 with my husband, toddler, and our 80+lb Cane Corso/Pit mix and LOVED it!! Everybody was friendly! They all treated Nero like he belonged there! There is grass on the property (which is hard to find in Vegas) and a potty station. They renovated the whole hotel so check out yelp or the La Quinta website to see new pics! Very clean and it’s in a nice area! I felt safe walking around alone with Nero for nighttime potty breaks. We will be back!
