        Nice people, but...

Nice employees but the rooms especially the carpets needed a thorough cleaning

        It’s decent

Very spacious, clean older hotel... only downfall was the bedding. We stayed early January and they only had a thin sheet and top sheet for blankets.... it was a chilly night but doable.

Our four legged child was very plesed with the room!

Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Bathroom could use some updating but water pressure was awesome! Some freeway noise! We would stay here again.

        We left

This place was run down and in need of repair/renovation. Our room had plumbing problems and we asked to be moved to another room and tried 3 more rooms all of which were unsatisfactory. Cleanliness of the rooms was bad. We were refunded for our stay. I would not recommend La Quinta Reno to anyone. BringFido was helpful in getting our refund.

        Wonderful customer service

I stayed at La Quinta during an evacuation to wildfires near my home with my kids and dogs. It was perfect for the price. I was given a room directly across from the little grassy area for dogs making it easy to take my dogs potty when they needed to go. The manager and staff were all very helpful and respectful. The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The lobby dining area has coffee and a microwave available 24/7 since the rooms do not have microwaves or fridges. A nice little place to stay when passing through.

        Subpar la Quinta

Dirty, old, mold on the bathroom tile. Carpet coming up from the floor. I have stayed in much better La Quintas in the past!

        Perfect for a short stay

This was just a quick stop for us on our vacation. Rates were great and the room was clean. There is a grassy area for pups to go potty. The staff was friendly and breakfast snacks were a bonus.

        Pet friendly

Was clean, staff was friendly. Very accommodating when it came to my animals. Most animal friendly hotels / motels allow dogs, but when your animals are not dogs, nice to find one that is open to other types of animals too. For the price and accomodations, was a great deal.

        Not ideal

Our car broke down on Donner Pass and we had our 2mo old baby and our dog with us. This was an unexpected stayas we are waiting for car at dealership. We booked because it was a dog friendly hotel and no extra charge for him. Hotel is mediocre. Definitely old and not the cleanest. Carpet is gross and our tub has stuff on bottom. Not sure if i will take a shower. I might put a towel down as i am scared to stand on it. Hoping my baby doesn't pick up any sickness from this hotel. Beds seem clean but probably arent. Definitely wouldn't pick this again but it worked in a jam.

        Would not recommend.

Yuck! La Quinta Inns used to be consistently a nice mid-range hotel chain. Things have gone downhill. Property was not well maintained. Room was dank, and smelled like a lot of chemicals. I didn't feel terribly safe. There is a BW just down the street. It was much nicer and had a nice lounge and restaurant. Both hotels are by the airport and freeway. The BW is the only place to eat in the area.

        Breakfast was really low quality.

There is a small dog area, but not really anywhere to walk.

FYI: In Sparks, I found a great Marina and park just off of I-80. We had a long walk there prior to coming to this hotel. Do not know if there are hotels nearby this park, but would recommend you check it out!

        comfortable and affordable

Although the facility is slightly shop worn, the room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast adequate. The dog area was Great! In spite of being next to the freeway, the room was quiet. The personnel were helpful

        Clean and Safe, well priced

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet hotel. No hot tub but has a lovely pool. Beds very soft and pleasant to sleep in. First room smelled of smoke, but they switched us when we requested it.

Good rates, dog area is a plus

This property cannot help being close to freeways and mail distribution center but the breakfast is pretty good if they would tidy up more frequently. ( waffle batter all over the place) Dog area is large and convenient. Ask for a room behind the office to avoid freeway noise and mail trucks in the middle of the night. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. No charge for pets is why we keep going back.

        Appreciated no pet fee

We have stayed here a few times in the last couple of years. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfy with triple sheets and plenty of pillows. The downside is the noise from the freeway, heard no matter what room you choose and the noise from the post office distribution center located directly behind the hotel. Truck loading and leaving noise is all night long.. The rooms need some maintenance attention as well as starting to look a little tired, housekeeping needs attention, we found a hair in the bath and dust on our light fixtures next to the bed. Our 2nd morning at breakfast was not as nice as the first. No one cleaned up at the waffle staion so the area was messy with spilled waffle batter and over-flowing waffle irons. The fruit was old and item selection in general is limited.

        Comfortable, Good Value

We stayed for 2 nights with our Pomeranian. Simple yet comfortable and very affordable. Only take minutes to get to the major casinos. Quiet, comfortable beds, nice dark window coverings. Great value with no extra pet fee. Nice area for dog walking. Only complaint was tub had stains in bottom, I am sure it was clean, but stood on a towel anyway. Staff very courteous. Didn't try the breakfast but nice that it was offered. Will stay again.

This motel is next to the freeway and the airport is on the other side of the freeway. People come and go throughout the night. The air conditioner cannot be set to stay on for white noise--it cycles on and off continually. We had to stuff our ears with earplugs to get a semblance of a night's sleep.

We needed a place for our family and Boxer while traveling across the country on a military move. This fit the bill perfectly allowing is all to get a good nights rest. Clean, friendly, safe, good parking (since we where towing a trailer), & great value!

Clean, Nice & great for the Price!

The room was clean, bed comfortable. The walking area for my dog was lovely and large. The staff was friendly. Would Definitely stay here again:)

        Great value, clean, and bright

The room is nicely appointed, clean, and well-lit. Looks to be almost new. We've been in quite a few motel rooms along the way from New York City (en route to CA) and this one has been one of the nicest, at a great low price. The only 'cons' : a bit of noise from the freeway and a slightly funky smell from the new pillows (smell from synthetic materials, I'm guessing). Otherwise, this is a good place to rest for the night before continuing on a long journey.

        Clean and Friendly

We chose this hotel based on location close to highway and pet friendliness. Stayed one night. Room was very clean and had no smells. Breakfast offered was limited but good. Highway and airport noise was not a problem in room for sleeping. Nice pet area in parking lot area with grass, crushed rock path and benches. Staff was friendly.

        Great value

For about $60/night and no pet fee this hotel is a great value. Allows both dogs and cats. Clean room, decent breakfast (waffles, cereal, muffins, etc) but a very nice pet area compared to other hotels. Small grassy area surrounded by crushed rock path with benches. Love that plastic bags are provided to pick up after your pet. You can definitely hear the highway noise from the room.

Simple but excellent considering the price

We chose this hotel based on the price and dog friendliness. It was a positive surprise! Clean and in good condition. Not luxury, but no roaches, bad smells or anything like that even in the pet room. Pet area was clean, but not fenced. We could hear the voices of freeway and airplanes, but it did not wake us up. Breakfast was simple, but better than in most places in this price range. We kept our dog in a crate in the room while we were away and that was not problem for the personnel, which was very friendly btw.

Clean, but noisy + limited (and littered) grass area

Room was average for this price/type property. Clean, adequate water pressure and a fair TV. There's sufficient room in the standard King unit for a dog bed, kennel and/or food bowls without tripping over them.

Very urban setting with limited dog walking. Property has limited grassy areas and large (formerly grassy) area is now starved of water, lacking grass and has lots of debris. I understand Reno is a desert area, but how about cleaning out the formerly grassy area and spreading some mulch and/or a couple desert plants.

nice and clean; a little noisy

Motel was a bit noisy due to proximity to airport but it was nice and clean and the service was excellent.
