The check-in staff were super friendly. They invited us to watch the eclipse with our dogs in the large field behind the hotel with others staying at the hotel. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, including cleaning our room from the guests who’d just left ASAP so we could get in hours before check-in time, and calling us when it was ready. To make an eclipse party, they kept the breakfast bar open all day, and added charcuterie! The room was great, spacious, very comfortable and clean, and near the field, which is also a good spot for walking dogs.
The hotel was clean, beds very comfy, great location, breakfast Continental so could do better. And our pet didn't receive any treats, like the last hotel we stayed at. Would stay there again.
I was surprised to find the hotel delightful. It was very clean and welcoming even to our four footed friend. Some hotels say small dogs only. The small dog down the hall yipped every time we walked by, but our 40 pound beauty was serene. It was great to be able to bring her along.
We stayed one night with our two pups, and loved the location of our room on the ground floor at the end. Made the midnight potty runs a breeze and we were all very comfy. They have a dog walk area out back with a little bridge. Best thing we enjoyed being able to bring each pup into the lobby area to aid in their socialization. We met many people and our dogs were happy and well behaved. Seriously appreciate having this pet friendly option for our visits to Plattsburgh!
