  Something for everyone

  We really enjoyed our time at Salishan. There’s something for everyone between golf, the spa, and beach. Highlight was birthday dinner at the Bay House. I would go back just to eat there. The room itself was a little tired, but very comfortable. The whole area lost power on our first night which was annoying, but no fault of the resort.

  Nice place, lots of open space, overpriced

  Beautiful grounds and places to walk dog, but rooms still seemed oddly remodeled and very expensive. Resort fee and dog fee and high room price. Nice place if you aren't on a budget.

  It’s just okay

  For the price I expected a bit more, but the property is nice. Dogs are allowed in the lobby, but not in any of the eating places. If you want to eat outside of your room they allow you to eat in the lobby. Late night potty breaks are a bit creepy since the pathways are lit, but surrounding area are not, meaning you are seen, but can’t quite see beyond the pathways. All bedding is stark white and you aren’t provided with a dog bed cover, so bring one with you.

  Beautiful Property

  This property is beautiful and we loved spending an afternoon in Depoe Bay. The description on BringFido included a balcony which the room did not have. That was disappointing. They provided my dog with a bag upon check in with some cookies and a toy (it was a wool dryer ball which I decided not to give her, but I’ll use it for laundry). There was no Yappy Hour due to covid, but there were lots of interesting places to eat in the neighboring towns. They do have a trail on the property which was kind of hard to find. It is all the way past the last building of rooms and then across the fairway. The trail to the lake was not well maintained, but the trail to the beach was maintained. There are covered walkways all over the property which was really nice. I would definitely stay here again.

  Disappointing for People Great for Dog

  Our dog Ginger, a chihuahua mix, was treated great. Upon check in she got a dog gift bag, which had several things including a few small dog treats. Depending on where your room is at the property accessing grass for doggie business is a bit of a walk.

  For us humans it wasn’t the best for my family, although it may be right up your alley. Our double queen room was small (the single king is the same size for perspective) with a table and two chairs for four people. Someone will always be sitting on a bed. I am not sure exactly how Covid cleaning requirements go, but we had no glasses or coffee cups in our room despite having a nice single serve Keurig. Thankfully my daughters went and got some along with bowls for dog food and water.

  The beds are very comfortable and the property is beautiful. On site dining is somewhat expensive so if you want to eat driving to Depoe Bay or Lincoln City is required. The room has a fridge and microwave but is not suitable for any cooking.

  The bringfido.com team were excellent at relaying a change to the dog policy that is different from the original description and I will use the site again!

  Fantastic for people and dogs

  Had a great stay. They actually bring you a dog bed and water at night. Perfect beach for dogs. Only complaint is the food at the restaurant wasn’t the greatest. Other than that a great place and we will go back.

  Dog paradise! Miles of trails and private beach access!!

  Salishan is literally the best place I've ever stayed at with my dogs. Nestled in a magical rainforest with miles of trails both in the forest and on the beach. Private access to miles of dog friendly beach, doggie happy hour with bacon infused water. Salty Dog daycare is nearby too if you need some time to enjoy the abundant activities from the spa, kayaking, golfing, aerial adventure park, etc etc.

  Perfect. Couldn't have been better.

  I stayed here with my labs, and it was wonderful. There were dog friendly trails & a dog friendly beach. The room was beautiful and private and surrounded by trees. The food was very good. The bed was insanely comfortable.

  I couldn't get in for any last minute spa treatments (my fault), but the spa certainly looked very nice. I highly reccomend staying here with your dog. We had a great time.

Safe Stay: Salishan Coastal Lodge has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay and sealed after cleaning. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
