  Great space for dogs

  The room was clean and comfortable, plus there was a great grassy area near our room that was perfect for walking the dog. She prefers grass to do her business so that was a welcome sight. It was also right off the highway which made it easy for us to get on the road again the next day.

  Not bad

  This place is an older motel and that shows in a lot of the structure. But they do a good job trying to overcome that. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Definitely get a downstairs room if possible and take advantage of the dog park and wide walking path across the street. I don’t know if I would want to spend too many days in a row here (it can be kind of loud outside) but as a pass through stop it works well for those with pets.

  I'd give it a zero if I could

  We got there and the hotel clerk canceled our reservation because we had a dog with us. He said all La Quintas are privately owned and they didn't have to allow dogs. They said we would have to get our money back from BringFido (which wasn't actually true). We never actually stayed because the guy was screaming at us. I happened to go look at the pool while my husband battled it out and it was freezing and the whirlpool wasn't heated.

  Comfortable stay

  Friendly staff. Smallish planter area with doggy bags. Nice to have working ice machine in a "vending/ice machine" room (need room key for access). Clean grounds. Standard King room was clean as well, with plenty of space to spread out. Need to cross busy street to get to large community dog park. Breakfast had a great assortment, our favorite being the biscuits and gravy. We'll be back!

  Great old-fashioned motel

  Huge 2 story motel right off I-5. Large room w micro & fridge. Best part is being able to have a room downstairs one can park directly in front of. Easy to load dogs & stuff from car right into room. (Took one bone off for worn, stained carpet and smoke alarm not secured to ceiling but hanging by its wires.)

  DO NOT FORGET TO MENTION YOU HAVE PETS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. Better to call ahead then have to deal with all the fuss of switching rooms, they have specific rooms for pets only.

  Another nice stay, but not quite as good

  We plan to stay at BW Horizon again. Great reception, staff, even guests! No problem booking our 3 dogs through BringFido. There's a big dog park directly across the street, which is really nice. But this time, the WiFi was uselessly slow (I guess it happens, sometimes, always bring a book when you travel...), and the nice little woody garden where you used to be able to wander with the dogs has become an encampment. It's a drag people have to live in tents, and I don't blame BW, but it wasn't quite the place we stayed at before. Else, 5 bones

  Fairly good place to stay

  Most hotel/motel reviews in Medford had poor reviews and safety issues. So we chose Best Western. The staff was super friendly, rooms are somewhat dated but clean. We only stayed one night. We were at the end of the building near Black Bear diner, which made it super easy to walk our dog behind the building to do his business. BUT there are hie less encampments there by the river and quite a bit of trash. We felt safe but didn't go there at night. In suggesting the hotel have someone. Pick up back there once a week (even a homeless person) would be great. Yes, they did suggest the dog park across the street that looked really nice, but she. Your doggie has to go, it's much too far, besides maybe hot in their feet if it's summer. Overall I would stay their just to be able to meet up with some friends on our way north or south of Medford. The continental breakfast was pretty good too.

  Grounds are not hospitable for dogs

  Small medians planted with shrubs make for little space for the pets to use. Horrible setup for breakfast.

  Super dog friendly hotel. There is a little space for dogs and poop bags were located throughout the property. Also right across the street from the Medford dog park, which is a plus!

  Worn out motel

  Generally worn out motel with large parking lot shared with diner. Specific experiences include people sleeping in cars, late night activity, unwelcoming and unkept dog path, room doors and windows without working locks, etc.

  Quiet, clean, updated room. Our two cats settled right in for the night. FYI-bring your own litter box/litter as the hotel doesn't supply these. There is a WalMart nearby if you need to get supplies.

  Nicest dog area we've found so far and directly across the street from the city dog park. Friendly staff. Great coffee. 1 bone breakfast
