The Hotel Zags Portland
The Hotel Zags Portland welcomes three pets of any size for an additional fee of $65 per stay. Guests with pets are assigned to rooms on the second floor, but guests with pets are not permitted in Suites. Both dogs and cats are allowed, and crated pets may be left unattended in the room if a cell phone number is provided to the front desk. Dog beds and dog bowls are also available at the front desk. There is a grassy area next to the property for pet relief. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

- WendyAug 6, 2018Nice, but could do better as a dog friendly place
Hotel was nice, clean and staff very friendly. However the Nel Centro restaurant which is part of the Hotel doesn't allow dogs on their patio. I realize they are "separate" but if you advertise as being a dog friendly hotel you shouldn't have to lock your dog in the room while you enjoy drinks and a bite on the same property! I refused to eat there and took my business elsewhere that welcomed my dog. It would also be nice if they had poop bags and a little designated potty area for those late night runs instead of having to wander the streets hoping you are safe.
(I'd give this 3 1/2 stars but it only allowed 3 or 4)
