Reviews
- HeatherJan. 16, 2023Excellent stay
It was a perfect location with tons of fun places nearby and groceries. We had a room with a kitchenette. It was great to have a couch and table area as well as the bedroom. We didn’t feel like we were all stepping over each other (2 humans, 2 medium dogs) there was room for their beds. There are tons of parks in Portland for all the walks you could want. Staff was really friendly.
- MartiOct. 30, 2022Very clean and comfy suite
Pet friendly (although difficult to find dog pooping area,) great location, VERY clean and comfy with nice thoughtful personal touches everywhere.
- KirkJun. 14, 2022Great Location
Great walking access to 21st, 23rd streets and the Pearl district. Get a Suite room, not the Inn room. Micro kitchen, and space for dogs to sprawl. Ours were not fans of the living room floors, but the hotel included a dog blanket and a placemat for them. Cell services is a bit weak, and we should have asked for iPad assistance w their Wi-Fi, as it was uncooperative. Great staff, laundry available, we used the dryer cuz things got sooooo wetttt while walking. Definitely high on my list of venues to reuse for dogs, or without. Ran some errands South on our first day, then didn’t move the car the rest of the stay. Nice architectural gems nearby too.
- AbigailMay. 20, 2022Good location, pleasant stay, old building
The staff were very friendly. A decent stay for the price. The room was clean, but the furniture was old. Loved the bathroom. Got the sense that they do a great job maintaining the place, it’s just that the building is really old and a bit dingy. Not sure there’s much they can do about that short of tearing it down. I had ants in my room. But I enjoyed the space and the coffee in the lobby.
- KarenApr. 26, 2022Clean and Staff was Great!
Our room was nice so no issues there. The area was nice and quiet, staff was very friendly. The only downside is no elevator for my older dog to use or area for the dogs to attend to business.
- MartinDec. 20, 2021Good service
5 bones.
- ChristinaOct. 22, 2021More motel than hotel
Pros: There’s parking, room is clean, located in the city. Cons: Homeless ppl everywhere (but this is the city). The door opens to the outside (like a motel). I felt very unsafe here (again this is bc it’s the city).
Walls are thin. - LizOct. 16, 2021Great location
This was a great place to stay with dogs. Exactly as described. Great location for exploring Portland. Lots of neighborhood restaurants. Excellent customer service by both evening and morning staff.
- MiriamAug. 25, 2021Very easy check-in
Checking in with a dog was simple and the suite was comfortable. It is difficult to find a grassy patch near the hotel, especially if you do not want to walk far in the middle of the night.
- GailAug. 8, 2021Just Okay
Room was OK, staff was polite and helpful, but parking was tight and there are no grassy areas on the premises.
- ChrisJul. 12, 2021Great value!
It’s a no frills place, but the staff is super nice. Everything was clean and the price can’t be beat.
- DonJun. 28, 2021Nice, comfortable suite
We just stayed one night with our two large dogs, but the place was very comfortable with a separate bedroom, a kitchenette, and pet friendly furnishings. We would definitely choose this place again next time we go to Portland…
- JlaurenJun. 14, 2021Great location!
Aside from COVID minimalism and the fire alarm being set off, likely by people smoking in their room, it was a pleasant hotel and met our expectations. Off-street parking is a plus and it's in a convenient location for getting around to all parts of the city with plenty of cafes and shopping nearby.
- RichApr. 30, 2021Close to the important stuff
Great restaurants across Burnside. Many types of cuisine. Two excellent grocery stores with fantastic selections within short walking distance. Just as close to Washington Park with the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Zoo, and mile of hiking trails. Suite has everything needed. My big dog was very happy there.
- JessicaFeb. 19, 2021Great staff and dog friendly
Lots of nearby places to walk our doodles. We stayed in the larger suite. There was plenty of room for our fur baby’s. Easy parking, easy entry via the stairwell. Not luxury but clean and most importantly welcoming of dogs. We will return.
- KelleyAug. 16, 2020Great location!
I stayed here twice over a two-week period with my dog. First check in, no dog fee. Second check in, dog fee. I think it may just depend on whose at reception when you arrive. The suites are far better than the regular rooms, worth the extra expense. No grass area on property but the nearby streets are walkable. Neighborhood is very quiet and hotel is a short uphill walk to Washington Park. Will definitely look out for this place in the future when in Portland.
- NathanAug. 6, 2020Awesome hotel!
Great hotel for a stay. Neat rooms, just wish there was more parking.
- SierraJun. 14, 2020Great for dogs
A good hotel for people with dogs. It’s a little outdated but it’s worth the price.
