Let me start by saying if you like traveling with your dog, this is the place for you. The owners dog is likely the only staff member you’ll meet, and he is a distinguished gentleman who likes a good couple pets, and then lets you settle in. The rooms are super clean, spacious, and comfortable. Each also has a show stopping view. You’re pretty spread out there too so you won’t feel like you’re right on top of other guests. The Cantina is better than we expected. It’s enormous, which makes sharing the space to cook with other guests super easy.
All the gear you could need to make a great meal is there too. The coffee is plentiful, and there are some great, basic breakfast options. The views will make you consider just staying on the ranch the whole time. And you really could by the looks of things from all the off road trails and mountains and rock formations right on site. The showers are hot and water pressure is great after a day hiking in the parks. Terlingua is a quick 20 min away if you want to explore town too. I can’t stop raving about the place. The owners and staff put a lot of effort into making it incredible, and I’m so glad to have found it. We’ll be back for sure
