  Decent stay

  Not a bad room. Clean and well kept. Toilet bubbled when flushed. Pillows felt like rocks. Exterior door was taped opened, not locked.

  Good Spot

  We had a quick stay here after adopting a Bernese Mountain dog (puppy.) Conveniently located next to the highway, next to McDonald's for an indulgent breakfast. I found it to be quiet in the hotel and outside for an October Saturday night. Puppy had a few accidents in the room, staff was very helpful and understanding, giving us articles to clean up.

  Slightly exceeded expectations

  Clean and no pet fee were more than enough to make this motel worth the recommendation. It’s a motel in a rust-belt town right beside the interstate - so expectations were tempered. Pleasant surprise; despite being proximate to I-90, it was pretty quiet.

  Great Room, super location

  The hotel staff was extremely nice. The room was spacious and well lit and I was thrilled with the size of the fridge. We were placed on a ground floor which was so much more convenient with a dog. There was ample grass/potty areas. The best surprise was walking down the road from the backside of the hotel and finding open grass areas to walk and we even found trails through some wooded areas. We actually took a 4.02 mile walk in fields and trails. The room rate was incredibly reasonable!

  Bad location

  Extremely close to highway. Heard traffic all day and night. My fault for not checking more closely. Door had gap that I could fit my hand under. Cheap price, cheap hotel.

  All needs met without spending too much

  My husband and I stayed a night accompanied by our two dogs while on a cross country trip. Room was a bit small but very clean, had a comfortable bed, and a good shower. There was a mini fridge and mini microwave. Being one level “motel” style, we could park directly in front of our room which was very convenient for bringing in luggage. There was plenty of grass for walking the dogs and no dog fee! So this stay was a real bargain.

  Exceptional service!

  We have a senior giant breed that weighs 263 lbs and has developed a neurological issue rendering him to not be able to feel his back legs well. When I checked in they told me they had no first floor rooms and no elevator. Boz tried the stairs and when he couldn’t, the owner came out and offered us the handicapped room left on the first floor.

  Not secure

  The doors that lead to the outside do not lock so anyone can come in off the street and up to the second floor. The fan in the bathroom was so noisy I showered with the light off. hotel needs major updates. Gunk around switches on the lamps. Pillows feel hard like if you folded up a towel in the shape of a pillow and put a pillow case on it. Maybe made of futon material and the mattress did not sink in but round up. Pretty darn uncomfortable.

  Beware

  Beware, our 200 dollar deposit was never refunded. I called and was told it will come off on the 5th business day. On the 5th business day, it stayed. I called the hotel again and this time I was told the 200 dollars would not be returned because there were ash's and smell of perfume in the room... Convenient... I did not bring cologne and my mother did not bring perfume. Wish we would have because even though the room looked clean, it smelled like cat urine. We came to Erie to buy a car. Guess they saw a new Acura and assumed I wouldn't miss the 200. Sketchy. No one smoked in the room, nor did it smell like smoke or perfume.

  Great for a RRI

  So, the room rate was severely inflated - I have actually stayed in NYC in Hilton properties for significantly lesser, however there is a huge influx of folks in Erie due to the decreased pandemic. This place was sold out. It’s not large and fancy - but that isn’t what you expect from a dog friendly hotel, highway located. Safe, clean enough and overall very friendly staff. Our pup and us watched the Olympics, ate some Wegmans food and crashed for the night. If that’s all you’re looking for, you found the right spot. Again, it’s not a 5-star hotel, but the quality you receive is perfect for what you expect. Would stay again if traveling with the pup. Thank you Red Roof!

  Hotel right next to highway. Thank God the ac unit was noisy so the semis rolling past were a little muffled.

  Checking in was super easy and quick. The staff was so nice and accommodating. We asked for extra towels and they were brought promptly. The room was clean and very nice. The only downfall is that the trash can holding the bags of dog waste needed emptied very badly, even when we went to leave the next day it was still almost overflowing. But overall this hotel is great pet friendly place to stay.

  I requested handicapped accessibility but the room was on 2nd floor no elevators. It was very loud all night long. We wouldn’t stay there again.

  Snowy night in Erie

  Nice that they assisted us in staying an extra night due to inclement weather. Free pets stay was great. Warm room, dry bed. No issues.

  Great Dog Freindly Location

  Newly renovated. Provides McDonald's coupon, next door for breakfast. Only issue is very close to Instate 90, so road noise, as would be expected.

  Clean rooms, good location

  Stayed with three big dogs (setup in advance), and was very pleased with both the room and the grounds. Would not hesitate to stay again.
