I had a regrettable experience with the Providence Marriott Downtown. Upon arrival, I was greeted and told that parking was additional. I was okay with this, and the customer service representative said that she would add the parking fee, $20, on my bill so I would not need to register online for the parking.
I went to my room. It was dirty overall. There was hair in the tub drain slowing the water draining, the vents were filled with dust and dander, there was a random QR code sticker on the dresser (non hotel sticker), and there was grime and dust everywhere.Fast forward two weeks later, and I get a parking ticket in the mail saying I never paid for parking. I immediately called the hotel and was transferred to their head of security. I left a message. He proceeded to text me (not even call) after a few days, and then after my response, never text me back. I followed up and he said that I never paid for parking, and that they can't even add it as I booked through through BringFido. Now, a parking ticket is being held over my head as it will be sent to collections if I do not pay the parking that was supposed to already have been added! Please, if you have a choice, stay elsewhere in your visit to Providence.

I guess I was put in the older part of the hotel bc traveling with my pet. But for the price I would have thought there wouldn't be peeling wallpaper and dirty carpet. The lobby area was very updated and sleek, but the rooms definitely did not match. There was a green space designated as the dog relief area but the waste bag dispenser was empty so people had not picked up after their pets. The hotel is in the city so there was traffic noise, sirens and a train that went by frequently.

I took a bone off because when I checked in, I asked the employee if there was a separate entrance to bring my dogs in, he stated there wasn’t, he didn’t know I had dogs and didn’t know what BringFido was. Luckily there was another entrance near our room or we would’ve been walking our dogs through the cocktail hour of a wedding that night! Location was great, free onsite parking and a nice dog walking area.

Such a nice stay. The hotel was super accommodating! The best part they put us in a doggie friendly floor and space to make bathroom breaks a piece of cake!

Stayed 2 nights. King size bed, first floor room had slider leading right out to grassy area. Also place nice and clean with friendly staff.

We had such a great experience with staying with our dog in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We even got to stay in a ground level floor that had green area outside for our dog! Great experience and I would highly recommend.
