    Disappointed

    The bathroom had a faulty toilet which was reported to the front desk immediately. They had no maintenance available and no room to transfer to.

    Excellent weekend

    The La Quinta was clean, the staff was friendly, the mutts were welcomed. I only have 2 very minor complaints: the hallways of the hotel are not air conditioned, so they are warm and humid; and, pets are not allowed in the pool area or the breakfast area. I understand the reason for that, just wanted to say it. Otherwise, well done.

    Great location for exploring downtown Greenville

    The hotel was nice and clean even though there was a ton of dogs in the hotel because of a dog show in town. Awesome job housekeeping! The guy working the front desk was super nice and helpful.

    Room was clean

    Room was very clean, big, and nice! Customer service was decent. TV remote did not work but front desk did not have extra batteries. Reception offered to switch my room but I was too tired to do that. There were many dogs staying at this hotel on the night. We didn’t hear any barking which was great bc my dog would have been worked up if we did. I was able to get a good night's sleep.

    Threatened a pet fee?

    I’ve never been charged a pet fee the numerous times I’ve stayed at LQ, never. This stay while checking in we were informed or “a new policy that started last week requiring $20 pet fee”? We didn’t fight it, just rolled our eyes and moved on. It was never charged to the room so not sure the intent. But for the room it was fine. Carpeted floors so easy for dog to jump on and off the bed when needed. Hard floors in the entrance and bathroom so putting dog bowls down with a towel was easy. Seems they put all dogs on the second floor which makes sense but wow was the floor noisy with constant barking every time a door open and closed. NOT MUCH GREEN SPACE CLOSE which is fine for my pup as he’ll poop anywhere but for others I know this could be a problem. Overall would likely stay loser to Main Street next time. 3 bones

    A nice surprise!

    Not sure I've ever stayed in a La Quinta but we chose this because we were traveling with our dog. We normally stay in HI's or CI's. Everything about this hotel was as nice as those chains. Nice room (even nice thick towels!), decent breakfast. Great location. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Honored the Reservation

    This is our preferred hotel in Greenville when traveling with the pups. It is showing signs of wear and still not providing a full breakfast that would normally warrant a lower rating; however, upon arrival the front desk noted they were fully booked and had not reserved a pet friendly room for our stay. They also noted the reservation was secured through BringFido. The staff honored our reservation placing us on a ‘quiet floor’ which pledges ‘no pets’ to guests on the floor. We were very grateful to them for accepting responsibility for their error and honoring the reservation. Our six month old shepherd pup was on best behavior and followed the ‘quiet’ rules. We will continue to make La Quinta our preferred hotel.

    Wonderful hotel

    Check-in was painless, the room was HUGE and the dogs had a lot of fun traveling with us. I especially appreciated the customer support from BringFido. I was prepared to book 2 rooms because we have 3 dogs but BringFido reached out to them and they made an exception. Highly recommended and we will stay here again when my husband has to come up for business again.

    Awesome staff!

    We stayed here for about two weeks. Both Carlos and Eden at the front desk were very nice, always greeting us, answering our questions and assisting in anyway they could. Also, the cleaning staff were attentive and do excellent work. Can't give this La Quinta a higher recommendation!

    Great stay

    We had difficulty the the reservation, a glitch in the system. However the staff member was wonderful, polite and apologetic for the wait. The room was large and very clean. I would not hesitate to stay again.

    Don’t stay on the top floor

    We got the last room which was on the top floor (7th). Not the best nights sleep as the rooftop air handler vibrated into the room.

    No place to walk the dog

    The room was fine, but the area around the hotel was mostly concrete. Also, the grab and go breakfast was very disappointing.

    Great Time

    It was super clean and the hospitality was wonderful! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 bones was the fact that there was absolutely no green space to walk your dog. Odd the only hotel that allows pets and there is no where in property with green space to walk them. Thank goodness the Hyatt was across the street with a beautiful lawn. Can’t be the only person since there is a poop bag station and they don’t allow dogs. Go figure. The hotel is about a 10 minute ride to Conestee Nature Preserve. Most incredible place to trail walk with your dog. That place could take a couple days to walk all the trails. Absolutely amazing!!!!

    Easy Stay with our Pup

    Nice basic La Quinta. Never had a bad experience at one. Clean and nice area for our pet. Noisy and barking dogs, front desk did their best to accommodate us with the noise. Children were much louder than the barking dog.

    Decent stay

    Convenient off of 385. A quick drive to downtown. Arrived about 35 minutes early for check-in. First clerk to greet us was very unpleasant. Wouldn't even check to see if our rooms were ready. We were just going to sit outside and play cards until check-in. Dogs are not allowed in the garden area or to sit with you at the patio tables. There is very little grass to walk the dogs either. They do have a dog back station at the back of the hotel by rear door.

    They did allow us to sit at the reception tables to play cards until check-in. The 2nd clerk who checked us in was much friendlier and loved on the dogs, which was very nice.

    We reserved a king suite for the extra space, as we have 2 labs and thought that having the extra room would be a good thing to allow to sleep in a little. Our room was by the elevator and stairs and was a bit noisy, which kept startling the puppies and we did not get much sleep.

    The blackout curtains were shredding so it did not do well at keeping the parking lot lights out of the room.

    Overall it was not a terrible stay, but not our best either. I'm not sure if I would stay here again though.

    Greenville however is wonderful and overall they absolutely love dogs. Everywhere we went people loved on the puppies and the restaurants, stores and parks were so accommodating and perfect for dogs. Many of the stores allowed you to bring the dogs in with you. We will absolutely be back.

    Nice place and location

    we frequently stay at LaQuinta Inns as they are clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. This one was an example plus it is convenient to LOTS of restaurants and shopping and close to I-385 and therefore has easy access to downtown and to I-85 to go north or south. Not fancy (neither am I) but really good value!

    Terrible

    Not pet friendly at all. My dog barked literally twice around 8pm, which was only an hour after we’d been there so we hadn’t settled in yet, and I got a call from the front desk threatening to ask us to leave if she kept barking. It’s a pet friendly hotel, right? So they should know that dogs bark! Especially when people are making noise outside their door. I could see if she was barking non stop anytime after 9pm even. But two barks at 8pm did not warrant a call. So I had to rush to the pet store before they closed to get a muzzle for my girl for fear of being kicked out and having nowhere to go in the middle of the night with my special needs child and two dogs. Not only will I never stay here again, but I will never give another cent to any La Quinta.

    Can't wait for hotels to have breakfast again. There was no Wifi the night I stayed 😒. Otherwise a good stay!

    Love this place!

    We stayed at a laquinta in NJ prior to coming here, which was nearly twice as expensive, but no where near as clean and well stocked. The only downside for pet owners is the lack of a fenced in area.

    Perfect

    One of our biggest issues is figuring out where we can take our boys. We had no issues at the hotel. The boys were welcomed and slept soundly.

    Great location and clean

    Easy to find . Was very clean and bed was comfortable. However I didn’t give 5 stars because there was no dog welcome pack or anything like a water bowl or dog food bowl for the dogs so that’s probably what is missing .

    Very Pet Friendly

    This was a good location for us AND they took pets. Upon check in, the desk clerk asked if we had a pet and then told me about their dog. They are very pet friendly and don’t worry about a pet’s size AND they don’t have an added pet charge. We will stay here again. Breakfast was good too.

    Great Hotel And Very Dog Friendly

    We’re traveling across country with two dachshunds. We’ve stayed at a few hotels that except dogs. But by far this was the best hotel we stayed at so far. The hotel is very clean and doesn’t have a dog odor at all. While we stayed, there were several dogs I saw, from very large to very small. What a great place would highly recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Greenville South Carolina thanks!!!

    amazing staff, very pet friendly.

    This place was clean, and comfortable. The bed was nice, the room was very spacious. Katie, the front desk agent who checked us in was incredibly nice, and offered up local information for us traveling with a dog. The place was quiet, and had a very nice pool. The ac in our room took a min to cool down to where we wanted but that is the only issue we had. All the staff we encounter were pleasant and polite and genuinely happy. It was refreshing. :)
