    Old but clean

Old but clean. Nothing fancy. No extras. Served it’s purpose

    Low key motel

The price is low for this motel- basic room, no extras but with a door to the outside that is good for dogs especially on the first floor. Some leftover smoke smells and they are not so conscientious about masks.

    Good for the price

As one of the cheaper options on the island, this is not a luxury hotel but it served the purpose just fine. the location is great because it's in the heart of it and only a short drive to everything on the island including the beach. The room itself was small and could definitely use some updating but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. the air conditioner and shower worked well. the pool was really nice and was never crowded even on the weekend. There is no outrageous pet fee like some places. I chose to stay here so I could spend more on other things. Our room did not smell and our pup was perfectly comfortable. I would stay there again.

We've stayed here before and it was wonderful but this time we changed to a new hotel nearby. The room was dirty, smelled bad, and wouldn't cool off. The person up front was great but she wasnt able to do much but try other rooms. The beds have gotten old and hard in all the rooms we looked at. Apparently the hotel has been under new management since last October and so anyone I mentioned to about the rooms, they said they've been hearing the same from others. It's such a shame because it's so beautiful and was one of the ways we could afford to go to Hilton Head Island. Now we may have to cut our vacation short because of the unplanned larger expense of staying elsewhere. Even my dog and cat were miserable at Red Roof Inn.

    Marginal Property

This place needs some TLC. The grounds are full of trash that no one seems inclined to pick up. The beds are not very comfortable. I have problems with my door not opening consistently. But it was cheap and you get what you pay for.

    Not even worth one bone.

Place was like a badly run kennel. Dirty rooms, property had trash everywhere, sink was broken. Dog scratch marks on the doors.

    Used to be good

This used to be a good place to stay. This time it was not clean, the floors were filthy. It also says on BringFido you can have 2 pets but we were informed that they actually only take one when we checked in. Fortunately they didn’t turn us away after a three hour drive to get there.

    Great location and pet friendly!

Susan was very nice and friendly. She made dinner suggestions too! Too bad I didn't find Danielle at Stacks until the last day--- she works at RRI also--- those staying at RRI get a 10% discount at Stacks! Yummy food however not pet friendly facility.

When checking out, I had Chris, who was MIA for several minutes when I first came in. Then she was rude like I interrupted something. She was rude and unpleasant the entire conversation. No thanks for staying there or anything. This was surprising after how sweet Susan was.

    great stay!

RRI properties are hit or miss depending on whether they’re franchises or corporate owned. This property is one of the good ones!! Customer service was top notch! Danielle at the front desk was super helpful and the room was clean and up to date. It’s close to everything and super affordable. We travel often with our pup and stay in a lot if RRI properties because of their pet policies. Definitely a good choice.

Great staff, dog friendly, amazing price.. Just please don't leave your dog alone (it's policy) , especially if they are prone to anxiety (aka bark and whine). Don't ruin it for the rest of us ;)

    Pleased as could be

Clean, simple, comfortable hotel with honest, friendly staff. Amazing value! Nearby public beaches, restaurants, and main thoroughfare, but quiet at the same time. Plenty of grassy, shaded areas to walk my pup...and a few steps away from the bike/walking path system Hilton Head is famous for. Wi-fi and everything else worked just fine. We will return time and time again. Special thanks to Chris, the manager, and Tameka at the front desk. Good good people!!6

Not a good stay at Red Roof Inn at Hilton Head

No wifi the entire visit.... in the 2nd building where my room was....the staff failed to mention this at my checkin. About half an hour later, when I asked about the wifi, they said I could move to the other building. Traveling for months with a car load of equipment, etc. I was too tired to move, so had to live with no wifi except in the lobby. A head’s up would have made more sense.

Several other issues arose during my stay..

On two occasions, someone was testing the door handle of my room, luckily I was there and my dog growled loudy the first time (middle of the night) also barked the next morning...so the person(s) left quickly. I don’t know who it was, but at 3am and 8 am on the same day, this was unsettling. I told the staff who wanted me to tell the manager. She was not so much focused on the security or safety of a woman traveler (at least did not verbalize that to me) but moreso on all the reasons why it was not an issue....

Also clocks had not been changed to fall back after daylight savings time, so when a driver beeped a car horn at 5:45am in the parking lot, I thought I might as well start my day...because both room clocks said it was 6:45am....😕

I cannot recomend this place despite many positive reviews by BringFido customers. Good luck staying there...

For a low budget this place is great, the staff is so kind and accommodating. It helps they're pet friendly without a pet fee as well. It was quiet, well maintained and our room was very clean. Would definitely stay again.

5 bones for RR. We were amazed at how clean the rooms were, and we couldn't have been more pleased with how friendly and helpful the staff was--all at a great price. We absolutely would stay there again, and would recommend RR to our friends.
