    Nice stay!

    First time traveling with our dog! Stayed only overnight. You can bring your dog to the beach until 10:00am and after 5:00pm. Hotel is a short distance away from the beach! Our dog had a blast!

    Highly Recommend!

    The hotel was very nice and clean & across the street from Broadway, minutes from the boardwalk. There truly was no pet fee which is unheard of! They allowed us a late check-in and checkout, hassle-free. We’ll be back!!

    Fun little pool, very dog friendly

    Stayed here with our boy Larry and had a pretty good time. Hotel was nice, the pool and pool area were fun, clean rooms, Tons of dogs! There is a dog relief area right outside the back door (which is where dogs must enter and leave). The only reason we didn’t give 5 bones is due to the location. It took about an hour for us to walk to the downtown core, but it was a nice walk. Overall a great stay

    Great Ho

    First time staying with 2 big dogs in a hotel and this one definitely set the bar high for others. It was super clean and everyone was so nice. No hot breakfast due to Covid but did have a breakfast bag they give you the next morning. Not a bad walk to beach. It’s about a block and a half so about a 5-8 min walk. Oh and there is a Friendly’s right in the parking lot and several good places to eat within walking distance. Will definitely stay again.

    Very nice room

    Nice room no balcony ground floor looking out at parking lot no pool because of virus but other hotels had open pools, called me because my dogs were barking, so were all the others. I went somewhere else for the rest of my vacation.

    Close to the beach

    The hotel is so clean and close to the beach. It is a walking distance and also close to mini golf and gift store. The location is close to everything including the restaurants. Our dogs live it there. They have a special designated dog area, too. We will stay agaiN.

    Best in NC & SC Combined!

    I should know! I have been traveling the coastline for 2+ weeks. This is the most "Got-IT-Together" place that I have stayed! The rooms are clean! REALLY, I know! Even through the pandemic, the staff is sincerely on top of things in every aspect of creating the best and most comfortable stay!

    Oh! I was just speaking of me... My Fur Babies were so comfortable they thought they had a second home!

    Had to get my own towels and and no house keeping provided at this location. This location provides no breakfast and they attend to act up tight when you ask for things and when you check in or out kinda feel like the guest is not treated special

    Nice Quiet Stay

    Wonderful Hotel just a very short walk to the beach but close to all amenities. It has a great, grassy pet area. The staff was excellent. It doesn't just let your pet stay, it is actually a pet friendly hotel. We will stay there again.

    Amazing location!

    5 minute walk to the beach was amazing!! Hotel was super clean and an easy check in. Had NO issues with bringing my dog with me. Grass area for them to use the bathroom. Restaurant right in front of hotel to get food. The only thing I did not like is sometimes at the back entrance it can be packed with trashy people. You can use other entrances/exits. I would stay here again!!

    Great location and accomodating for my puppy

    Good central location and front desk staff was good. No other services but clean and good deal for price. only thing I wished was that I was at the door going to potty area and not with an adjoining room with other dogs that barked at the slightest noise.

    Great location

    Dogs are not allowed to be brought in the front or in the lobby. All dogs are kept on the first and second floor. The rooms Are nice and clean. Minus a bit of musky smell. The floor are hard so no carpet to worry about. There is a small dog relief area by the pool. No breed restrictions.

    My Little Houdini

    This was an excellent stay. The room was great, the common areas were pristine. When we were out to dinner, my little guy Judge opened the door and got out of the room. The hotel called right away and was so great about it. We really appreciate how they treated the situation. We will definitely be going back.

    Looks aren't everything!

    Place looks great but the power went out 2 nights in a row. The TV service also went out one day. This pet hotel doesn't seem to realize that dogs bark. Our dog would bark for a few minutes when we would leave then settle down and stop barking. We got a call every time the dog barked. We had to come back to the room one night and forgo dinner out. That was the day the TV went out. We were not impressed by the service. After sitting in the dark for half an hour. I called the desk and they said that they thought our power was back on but they didn't check.

    A Top Notch Renovation

    This appears to be an older property that is undergoing an extensive renovation. The building is currently being reroofed, and equipment and fencing provides something of an obstacle cost, but the inconvenience is minimal. Folks traveling with pets are housed on the first floor, adjacent to an area for walking dogs. Staying here with a pet was comfortable and convenient.

    Crummy at best

    Outdoor area filthy with dog poo and cigarette butts. Also very aggressive breeds allowed there, I saw both rott's and pit bulls.

    Fit our needs

    Typical updated La Quinta. Hard flooring which offers peace of mind. They do not charge a pet fee but do have you sign a pet agreement, which is standard for any La Quinta that we have ever stayed at. This was centrally located and the staff was fantastic. Breakfast is mediocre, but typical continental. Grassy areas all over and pet bags supplied. The only negative that i have is that the bed was horribly uncomfortable, but I would stay here again based on how dog friendly it was!

    Lifesaver and Wonderful Staff

    Upon arriving at the hotel we originally placed our reservations with, we were told our reservations had been canceled. We are unsure of how or why this happened and this was a huge upset as we had driven 5 hours to Myrtle Beach and also because we had our dog. And of course, not all hotels are pet-friendly. We were told to check La Quinta for our first night because there was absolutely no availability at the hotel we had booked. I knew exactly where the closest La Quinta was and actually it is very close to where we normally stay with our dog. At first there appeared to be nothing available but a manager was asked and remembered there had just been a cancellation for the one night that was a pet-friendly room. The customer service person was very helpful in trying to figure out what we could do and checking with her manager. We thought we might have to spend our first night in our car but this La Quinta made it happen for us and we are SO VERY APPRECIATIVE! Thank you for helping us have a comfortable place to stay for the night! The room was very comfortable, clean and nice and we wish they were directly on the beach because this is where we would choose to stay from now on!

    Pet Tolerant, Not Friendly, At Best

    Stayed here for 3 nights. Clean, well kept. We felt that the woman at check in was less than pleased with our arrival with our small dog. She immediately informed us that our dog was not allowed in any of the common areas including the lobby. She then said we would have to enter and exit the hotel thru the back door and up to our room. My husband then had to sign an agreement stating the above plus could not be left alone, unless crated, in the room. None of which is mentioned beforehand while making reservations. We skipped other hotels for this exact reason. We understand rules most be in place to maintain the property but the overall attitude was bothersome. We love our dog and really didn’t appreciate being made to feel like she was the side chick. Pet walk area was adequate with bags supplied. Multiple other dogs here during our stay. No issues there. Close to beach and about 10 minute drive to boardwalk

    Saved our vacation!

    My fiance and I originally had a room at the ocean park resort and were disgusted by our room so we made the quick decision to check out and went to this hotel. Huge difference! This place is very nice and clean. I was in tears after leaving the last hotel and this totally changed our mood. We went up to our room and we barely walked through the door and immediately could tell this was a nice room. We were so upset with our experiance at the last place and the people at the LaQuinta inn were so friendly and got us a room right away. Pet friendly but we had to take our pup through the back entrance. The only downfall was the elevator back there was out of order but we didnt mind. We were only on the second floor. Our room was very updated and clean. The hallway did smell a bit funky and the breakfast was just ok, nothing special but again after the experience at the last hotel this place was amazing. I highly recommend. We may not of had a ocean view like our last room but we were still close by the ocean and the boardwalk. About 11 mins away by car. I gave 4 bones since the elevator was out of order, the weird smell in the hallway, and breakfast being nothing special but don't let that discourage you. This is a nice, clean, and pet friendly hotel! I would stay here again.

    Absolute best!

    We stayed here last year with our 6 year old Dachshund. We will return again as it was clean, nicely located, very accommodating for pets and people and made our lil fur baby quite at ease. This was the first time we had ever taken her with us and her comfort level showed in her behavior, which surprisingly was great, cause she's rather spoiled. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
