    Good location close to Spartanburg

Nice outside area for our dog to do her thing. Motel not all that great. 3 bones max.

Clean, quiet and room to walk the dogs

I was pleasantly surprised. The building is older and has a nice vibe. The motel is on a dead end road and the traffic noise is minimal. The grass area is well maintained and you can safely walk your dog on the street. The room is clean and the lounge chair has a dog blanket. There’s a good taco restaurant with carry out that you can walk to the back way with your dog.

    Enjoyed our stay

It was by far the cleanest place we've stayed that allowed our dog. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed staying there. It was quiet and we felt very safe. We would stay there again without a doubt!! Thank you!

    So so

I'll break out my review into pros and cons as it is easier:

    Pros:

Location - not far off I-85 and close to shopping and chain restaurants. Plenty of grassy areas on and near the hotel property for dog walking. Dog friendly rooms apparently have tile instead of carpet - which is great for dogs - unless you have a dog that is elderly and can't walk on tile... All outside room entrances which makes it easier for taking your dog out. I understand that all pet rooms are also first floor. Shower works awesome lots of water pressure. Our room also had a jacuzzi tub but with Covid, we were afraid to use it.

    Cons:
Property manager had no idea who or what Bring Fido is and get rather rude when I challenged him about the pet fee. Apparently Bring Fido is incorrect. The rooms are dated and not the prettiest - but then again this is a dog friendly hotel. There was large scratches on the wall from previous pet damage. Our room was tile which is nice for a dog BUT not when your dog is elderly and can't walk on tile. Luckily we had some carpet remnants in our vehicle that we used to create walking space for our dog. Room was LOUD - we were right by the utility room and there was constant noise. Room is not dark - there is a light right outside each room that basically illuminates the room. I know this is an outdoor entrance hotel but maybe have better and longer blinds.

    Great potty areas

It's not fancy, but had great, well lit places to walk the dog and a very friendly and helpful front desk person.

    Disappointed

Reserved a smoking room , but when checked in only received a non smoking room. TV didn't work, could not move us because they were booked. Was told maintenance would not be in until morning. Clean, but did not enjoy our stay. We did get a discount. The staff was so nice to our little Molly.
