When we arrived we were greeted by the most cheerful, welcoming lady at the front desk. Our room was perfectly situated to fit our needs. We had a sliding door to the outside right by a grassy area with a dog clean up station. We were also right near the pool and water park for our kids. The room was clean and spacious. The pool and water park were also clean and kept up. My kids had a great time. This has been one of the best places I've stayed with our dogs.

Hotel is a little run down but clean. The dog area is completely enclosed. Archie was able to go off leash early the morning we left. This dog area was the best of all the hotels we stayed at that week.

I didn't give it a 1 bone because they found us a new room after we found hair and blood in the bathtub. Other than that, this place is horrible. Stay anywhere else. At checkout, you are given the manager's email address on the back of the receipt in case you have any concerns. Unfortunately, it has been copied so many times that I could not read the email address. We were initially given a room in building D. The security door didn't latch unless you pulled hard on it, so there were safety concerns.
There were kids upstairs dropping garbage off the balcony. A lady across the parking lot left her toddlers in diapers when she went to find a guy who I'm assuming she knew as they were fighting whenever I saw them and she returned with him later with a pizza. The kids were standing in the window waiting for her to return. The people next to us were on their patio smoking something. When they lit it, I didn't smell weed or tobacco, so I'm not sure what they were smoking. The building was very worn and depressing. There were hinky electrical setups and lots of dust. I'm not sure the last time the halls had been vacuumed.
When we checked in, we were initially discouraged from parking there, I think she said staff parked back there, I had difficulty understanding her with her accent. After we were moved to a new building, even though it looked the same, it did not have the same depressing feel to it. We didn't allow our child in the pool or water park based on the poor maintenance and cleanliness of the building overall. I would never stay here if I was alone simply because it's not safe to take your dog out after dark.

We asked during the reservation process for a room on the ground floor, away from the water park, and with a sliding door to the outside and that's what we were given. The hotel staff was friendly and professional, even helping me overcome internet access problems. Clean and comfortable, too. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location. My daughter and I were meeting up with family to collect two 11-week old puppies. We had been on the road all day and were exhausted. The hotel was friendly, welcoming, and provided a room with a private exterior patio door that made it very easy to take puppies out in the night! Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is quite large with good space for walking. There are good green spaces with bags available as well. At the mall nearby, walking distance, 5-10 minutes is an indoor dog park! Overall, the hotel was fine. However, it is not as nice as most of the Best Western properties where I stay preferentially. Room cleanliness was fair. It seems either the vacuum wasn't working or not used. Furniture showed wear. My traveling companion, the human one, had a room near the pool and it was very noisy until well after the pool closed.

Older property, but clean. Had a room with 2 entries. One to hallway, other to an enclosed courtyard with some small spaces for dog to walk around. Good grassy areas.

Despite the look of the exterior, the room was clean and bed very comfortable. All ground floor rooms have patio doors for immediate access to outside. Also loved that they have a great restaurant on premises. Pet relief areas aren’t awesome but they do the trick. Great place to stay for a night on a long road trip.

The front end staff weren’t overly friendly upon check in, and the hotel could use a renovation for sure. There is a green space but it is quite small and not fenced, although there is tons of parking lots (not busy) in the area for walking. The bonus of the room was the outside entrance. We could unload luggage and dogs without having to walk through the hotel, a definite plus. The room had a small dining table, fridge, microwave, & coffee maker. It was fairly clean but that went down hill in the morning when I found 5 very long hairs attached to the shower walls (absolutely not mine or my husbands) I found the room service to be ok and the staff quite friendly.

Perfect room for pets. Had outside access plus inside. Lots of places to take dogs to bathroom. They provided poop bags at the green areas, if only people had the courtesy to use them. First level floor made it easier for older dog plus older woman.

Large hotel, with motel-like access to rooms. Lots of green space for dogs and many waste bag locations. There were a lot of dogs when I visited and all green spaces were clean and clear of dog waste. Room was just OK, but it was clean. I would stay here again with my big dog.

Nice place to stay after a few days of camping. It was busy as we were checking in on the holiday weekend but the place really emptied out after the holiday. Convenient to the highway and a good place to base yourself for adventures. It was nice having a door directly to the outside as well as interior hallway access. I'd stay here again.

This was a great place to stay with my three big dogs. They gave us a large ground floor room with a door that led outside to green space. The restaurant connected to the hotel was very good.

The first floor room had a sliding glass door which could not be secured from the outside and did not include a “bar” to add interior security. I requested hotel maintenance to secure lock screws.

Something for everyone including my fur babies! Room was perfect with an outdoor entrance and easy access for pets to play in the grass. Restaurant was great with an excellent steak dinner! Can’t wait to visit again!!

We weren't sure what to expect, since Best Westerns can be hit or miss in quality. This was definitely a hit!
We were able to get a pet-friendly room where we could back the car up right to the door. Our king room deluxe was very large. Our big dog (65 lbs.) had plenty of room to walk around. There was grad right outside the door. We could also walk her along the grass surrounding the parking area. Very easy & convenient.
The restaurant in the hotel had EXCELLENT food. I loved the spicy shrimp pasta. Terrific breakfast buffet in the morning, with custom-made omelets.
Even though this facility has a small indoor waterpark, we didn't hear any noise in the hallway, and our room was steps from the entrance to the pool & waterpark.
We are definitely coming back on our next trip to Rapid City. The hotel is right off I-90, gas stration with convenience store is practically in the parking lot, very easy to gas up & head out to Mt. Rushmore, which is about 30 miles away.

We arrived at 6:30pm exhausted from driving 12hrs. We booked thru this app and it was very easy! Our room is on the bottom floor with the sliding door leading out to the pet area for our dog!! The restaurant, here at the hotel, provides room service!! Food is great!!!! The beds, however, are hard...but the other pluses bump it to 5 bones!!

This hotel is super dog friendly! No pet fee, and we were lucky enough to get a room with a sliding door opening directly to a patch of grass. They had great grassy areas with poop bags available. It was a nice clean room with a fridge and microwave. My small terrier and I highly recommend a stay here!
