The room was very clean and they turned the heat on for me since they saw I was from Florida. I thought that was very kind. Not a lot of grass to walk your dog though.

Located next door to two abandoned properties. Some renovation has been done but not enough. My sheets were stained, the place was noisy, the number had fallen off my door, and the area just didn't feel safe.

Just sold our home and needed a place to stay for the night that would accept our canine child. Made the non-refundable reservation through BringFido. When we arrived the motel made us make a $50 cash security deposit in addition to already having our credit card info due to being a "local". Local as defined by them is anyone with an address within 85 miles of the motel. I found this questionable but since the reservation was non-refundable I had no choice. When opening the door another guest was leaving complaining about bed bugs and recommended not staying, But, remember the non-refundable issue? Room was old but relatively clean. Exceptionally noisy. Internet would not work. Dog walk area was a wet smelly drainage area behind the next building and not the place I felt comfortable letting my wife walk the dog safely. Breakfast was strong distasteful coffee, two flavors of prepackaged danish from the Dollar store next door or fruit loops. After the mandatory inspection of our room for damage our $50 was returned. As a retired professional and senior I found the whole experience distasteful and insulting. I strongly recommend sleeping in your car over staying at the Caryville Red Roof Inn. How they received a 4.5 bone rating is beyond me. One is more than generous.
