  Great doggy rooms

  My only issue with this location were the front desk personnel. I paid ahead through BringFido and I also had charges from hotel. Front desk personnel could not explain charges clearly. I was told they would drop off but not told why they were charged. The amounts didn’t even match anything that made sense.

  Disappointed. Glad they accept dogs, but dogs are not allowed on the beds. The front desk staff was really nice. The room smelled like mold; mold was all over the shower curtain. Sheets were pilled badly and were scratchy. Tons of dogs, avoid a room by the front desk or you will hear people and dogs ALL night.

  Friendly staff and great accommodations. Clean and welcoming. Location is easy on/off and has plenty of nearby restaurants for dining.

  No pets on beds

  Hotel was good. Clean. Normal $25 pet fee. But when I registered I had to sign an agreement that pet not be allowed on bedding, subject to an additional fee. I suspect that many small dog owners usually allow their dog to sleep with them. If so, this isn’t a very pet-friendly hotel.

  Solid surface floors are good for pets but these were not clean. Spilled water and what I wiped up was a lot of dirt. high ceiling and hard floors only make every noise louder. Hence my normally quiet pup barked at the very thing.

  There was a series of bad with this hotel. The room smelled like animal urine very strongly. I know that we always get the “pet” rooms so I expect some but this was really strong. I told the front desk and she said the cleaning people were not able to come that morning? I just didn’t want to be charged an additional fee when it wasn’t my dogs. The pet fee is kinda ridiculous for what you get. I had travelled all day and wanted to take a bath and there was no plug for the bath. The mini fridge was froze up and was overheated. They put us on the third floor?! Why do you put people with dogs that need to go outside on the third floor? The beds were comfortable but it all felt unclean. I wouldn’t stay here again! One last thing - we left really early and I was told there would be coffee, but there wasn't.

  Not as Pet Friendly as in Past

  We have stopped here several times for a quick overnight on a two day trip that we make twice a year. Pet policy has gone from free, to $15, to $20 to now $25 with an additional $50 credit card hold. Next trip we will see if there are more affordable options.

  Perfect For Pet Owners

  We were driving as far as we could on our way from MN to FL. We weren’t sure how far we’d make it so didn’t plan hotel accommodations. Clarksville seemed like the best place to stop. We had stopped there in years past and the hotels that accepted dogs were not good. I decided to take a look at BringFido. La Quinta popped up and had good reviews so I made a reservation. The desk clerk was friendly and lobby was decorated nicely for the holidays.

  Our room was very clean. It appeared to have been recently remodeled. We really liked hard laminate flooring and the bed was comfy. We were only there to sleep and resume driving. There was a large grassy area with a gazebo perfect for dogs of all sizes. At 6 am sharp, the breakfast area was opened. There was a large selection including eggs, waffles, oatmeal and more. Everything was fresh and hot. The attendant was very pleasant. We were only there for 10 hours but it met all of our needs. If you’re looking for a nice, clean place to stay that allows pets La Quinta is it. The only negative was the freeway noise but that would be at all hotels nearby. I suggest turning the fan on high.

  We loved everything and wish the hotel had a more expansive dog-walking area. We also appreciated the coffee available in the lobby.

  Very clean, very polite, friendly staff, and if you're pulling a boat marginal parking space - get there early. Dog friendly space is adequate if you use the empty field next door. Comfortable beds. It'd be nice if they'd place a tv card with stations in room.

  The pros:
  - Our room was clean
  - The breakfast was great

  The cons:
  - The hotel was full, and it was super noisy (with humans and dogs). We left the bathroom fan on all night, along with the TV, to drown out the noise as best we could.
  - The in-room phone was disconnected, which was frustrating when I needed to call the front desk. La Quinta makes it hard to find their local hotel phone numbers online. This is the second La Quinta I've stayed in and the second with the room phone out of order -- must be a thing?
  - The AC fan couldn't be set to be on permanently. I'll have to remember to bring our white noise machine on trips from now on.

  Stayed here while traveling cross country with my pets. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is extremely pet friendly. Would definitely recommend you stay here is traveling with pets.

  I stop in Clarksville when I drive back to Wisconsin from Florida. It is a nice hotel. The only issue I have was that the room seemed to be right on the freeway. I really didn’t get much sleep with the noise all night long.

  Clean And Easy

  This was an easy overnight stay with clean rooms. A detailed form about our dog was required which was a first for us. I was asked over the phone when making the reservation to provide proof of service animal status which is ILLEGAL - a violation of federal ADA law. I did not realize how uncomfortable being asked to prove my disability. something to be thoughtful about from now on.

  The King room seemed comfortable enough, until we found a puddle of spilled wine, used rubber, and someone else’s dog ball under our bed! Gross! My husband told the desk, the reply was that they were sorry.

  Very clean but because of Covid there was no breakfast, only coffee. They should put that on the advertisement, so everyone knows breakfast is NOT being served at this time. Otherwise, we would stay there again.

  Nice Hotel and Great Location off the Interstate

  We stayed here one night with our dog and it was a very pleasant hotel. Friendly front desk person and they gave our dog a small bag of treats. The floors in the rooms are a wood laminate which is ideal with a pet. Would highly recommend.

  Surprisingly big rooms, very comfortable beds. The pet friendly rooms are on the second floor, which is worth noting if you have any kind of accessibility issues. There are elevators available and sidewalk ramps. My only real complaint was that the doors on the rooms are very loud, so when people started getting up and checking out around 6am, my dogs would be started by the noise of the doors slamming. If your dogs aren't too jumpy and are okay in an elevator or stairwell, this hotel is very reasonably priced and conveniently located. There are multiple grassy areas with convenient trash cans.

  Last Train to Clarksville

  We had a great stay at La Quinta in Clarksville. Always enjoy the updated rooms and free breakfast. The one thing I wish is that they would have pet rooms on the first floor. There is a nice green patch of grass outside on the side of the bldg for bathroom breaks.

  No negatives at all! Our room was great, the laminate flooring was perfect for putting my pup's water/food bowl anywhere in the room, and it's right down the street from Starbucks, Chickfila, and Chipotle!
